  1. Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager

You're contradicting yourself here. You say our board can spend as they please but apparently they can't get their main transfer targets? It's either they can or cannot. City get their targets by paying what clubs want. This is why our mediocre net spend is not something that can be ignored!

How can you say it "means nothing" when two of our supposed "rivals" can spend as they please without losing quality. That's just silly. This is not an excuse for any of our shortcomings btw but to play it down is stupid
  3. Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager

PL net spend 2014+ Man City £448.7m Man Utd £424.7m Arsenal £193.8m Chelsea £126.9m Spurs £20.5m This should put some things into perspective.

Are you trolling or being serious?

We're a top 4 club these days not a title winning one according to our net spend outlay in the last 4 seasons. RA has no business being mad about a top 4 finish and a run in the domestic cups. That's the reality of our ambition these days. Anything else is a bonus.
  6. Willian

He's now become a caricature of himself. Comical to watch him play football at this point.
  7. Eden Hazard

Far and away the best player yet again

I'm seeing a lot of "but we were never going to win the title" by a lot of Chelsea fans on social media. Okay City are better than us. They have superior players but that didn't stop us from winning the league last season. I don't understand this meek surrender. Thus just sounds like a way to cope with being potentially 11 points behind.

The fact Fabregas remained on the bench after Bakayoko's disasterclass in the 1st half tells you everything you need to know. Fabregas would have had Kante and Drinkwater behind him. A midfield duo that basically controlled teams for an entire premier league season. Conte apparently was too concerned by the incredible threat of Sturridge and Oxlade-Chamberlain. Anyway title gone. Small club mentality.

I understand it was supposed to be a tough away game but to just meekly surrender our title hopes like that was very strange. Fabregas on the bench was very strange. Bakayoko not getting subbed out at halftime was very strange. Avoided the loss after a fluke cross/come shot. We have better players than Liverpool and we have to approach these games like its true. Now we're playing for top 4 and domestic cups. Conte has to do better. I haven't been blown away by him this season.

If this man is sacked I don't know how I will continue to support this club with a clean conscience. Shameful.

It's not the system, it's the players. Half of them aren't good enough and are being exposed this season with a full calender of games to play. When your wingbacks are players of the calibre of Marcos Alonso and Zappacosta (neither one of which are really CFC calibre players), it's not really surprising to watch us suffer. The weakness in those positions is further amplified with a 3-5-2 where there is even more pressure on the wingbacks to help generate attacks. We were effectively attacking with only 2 players until Conte switched back to the 3-4-3. Blame the board for undermining the managers position yet again. We still don't have a complete midfielder who can help with our transition from the back to the midfield. Gonalons is better than all the midfielders we started today. How is that acceptable for a club of our size? The man wanted both Tolisso and Bakayoko and we only gave him one of those. We missed out on Alex Sandro, Bonucci, Danilo, Tolisso and the list is endless even from 2 seasons ago. Shop at Aldi and get what you deserve. We need to be shopping at waitrose. And I know some genius will highlight how much we spent last summer. But who did we buy? What was the net spend? Did we really improve the squad significantly? So why are we shocked? Conte deserves so much better than he got! Look at City's squad ffs. This man gifted us a title and our board can't even give him the tools to compete on equal footing with Guardiola.
  13. 3 at the back has been exposed?

  14. Eden Hazard

That headline puts a positive spin on what he actually said. Personally, I'm not convinced he'll be here next season. Which is why we have to make alternative arrangements for Lukaku + Griezmann/Sanchez instead of being arrogant and he'll be here.
  15. Kante is pfa player of the year

I thought Hazard deserved to win it since for me he's been our best an most consistent player, playing in a role in the team that is much harder to maintain consistency in. He's been at it since August. Anyway, congratulations to Kante. You can't help but think last season's accomplishments with Leicester influence the way people think about these awards.
