2 weeks left in the window

It's becoming an obsession. I can't help but click on to Twitter at every available moment. I've got to be up for work at 4am tomorrow and although it's highly unlikely anything will happen between now and then, I'll still be searching for any links as I slurp my early morning coffee. Please God close the transfer window and give me my life back

Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager

So Paul Ince who has no connection with us decided to speculate on what he thinks might have or might have not happened and decided to share his opinion with Paddy Power The press really are scraping the barrel.

According to my source (my bottle of tomato ketchup sauce) He will complete his move on Monday. Don't know which Monday. Maybe a bank holiday in the year 2024?! Anyway, I'm assured it's a done deal, apparently, Well might be maybe. More to follow..........

    Romelu Lukaku

And this is why Dion Dublin now presents tv property programmes. Basically he's saying Lukaku picked Manure because we got rid in the first place. Who was our manager at the time, Dion? Former Manchester United striker Dion Dublin believes Romelu Lukaku may have rejected Chelsea this summer due to a desire for ‘a change’ after being snubbed by them in the past. http://metro.co.uk/2017/07/12/romelu-lukaku-chose-manchester-united-transfer-over-chelsea-for-a-change-dion-dublin-6773106/

    Charly Musonda jr.

It really is difficult to get excited when we have been here full of expectancy before. I do believe he has the talent to make it with us, but I've thought that time and time again about numerous youngsters. Just got to hope he grabs the few opportunities he gets with both hands.
  7. That's cup football for ya! Not that it hurts any less, but quite frankly we simply didn't turn up on the whole. The referee was a disaster with their opener there's no doubt, and you could argue we then lost confidence as it obviously changed the game, but after the resilience we have seen from the boys this season, I expected a better reaction. Too many of them looked lethargic with only Pedro and Costa and Gary 'I'll clear it off the line' Cahill looking bothered in the first half. We did improve in the 2nd and despite Victor being a silly boy, we had a great opportunity after Costa's equalizer to rattle them with momentum behind us. How we then switched off immediately was the most frustrating part of the afternoon. Overall though..... Winning the league was unexpected and beyond expectations after last season. If there's a silver lining from yesterday, it's that we've still got a lot of work to do to be compared with previous great Chelsea teams. Conte has worked wonders and you know he'll be busy at looking to improve over the summer.
  8. I was thinking that earlier but actually we're getting married on another iconic and memorable date - 11th November.
  9. It's actually become even more of a 'stand out' date for me. I met my missus on this day a year later and it's extremely possible my daughter was conceived the following year on this day. I locked myself in the bathroom the whole day the next year for fear of life changing events happening, but things have been ok the past couple of years, so I might take a gamble and atleast make it out into the garden today
  10. I've lost count the amount of times I've seen the penalties. I still even now feel frightened and tense watching them and even shed a tear when Drogba puts it away. Watching full highlights including his header and Cech's pen save from Robben has me blubbing even before the shootout. Wrote this the other day... https://everythingaboutfootballweb.wordpress.com/2017/05/17/5-years-ago-that-night-we-painted-munich-blue/ Incredible how hazy some of memories are. But that German lager is strong stuff

    I'm back!

Cheers mac. Great idea, I have been starting to think of other Chelsea related possibilities as she did say "To do with Chelsea" and so those suggestions you've made fit the bill perfectly :-D

    I'm back!

Hello all, Those of you that have been around for some time should remember me as a fairly regular contributor to the forum a few years back. I've kept an eye on things but haven't posted for some time. Where have I been you might ask? It's fair to say my life has changed a helluva lot. Back in May 2013 having returned from Amsterdam in celebratory mood I met a girl called Sarah. Having been able to attend around 20 matches per season, I was made the happiest man ever when the following year we discovered we were expected a bundle of joy. Now, as many of you will know, your life changes massively and I knew my days of consuming copious amounts of cider and regularly watching live football would be reduced considerably. On the 22nd of February 2015 I become the proud father of a beautiful baby girl, Daisy. Her first game was the league cup final victory over the spuds. I waited years to see success, whilst she was only a week old. I have been lucky enough to go to a couple of games since and I'm not afraid to say I am for the foreseeable future a very proud armchair supporter. I have recently been writing a blog and here is a Chelsea related article... https://everythingaboutfootballweb.wordpress.com/2017/04/28/the-truth-about-chelseas-rise/ Feel free to have a look and comment as well as following on Twitter or Facebook* *blatant excuse for a plug, but I'm lucky enough to know coco personally and hope he won't mind Meanwhile back to my story. I'm getting married in November and one of tasks is to name the tables. Surprisingly it was her idea as she isn't a fan of football at all. So we have 7 tables and I intend to use the names of players. It appeared easy at first, but picking only 7 is proving difficult. I did consider having a 'Demba Ba' table and put Liverpool fans on it. Who would you choose? Anyway, It's bye for now as I'm watching 'In The Night Garden' before putting Daisy to bed. I promise I'll be back soon :)
