It's too far fetched to say we lost three managers because of him. We did however let go of a handful of great strikers because of him (not only talking about Sturridge and to a lesser extent Lukaku, but all the ones we could have signed had we not signed Torres).
I don't mean to be a cock about it, but a move was the better choice for both parties. I'm glad he chose that road instead of running out his contract like the majority of us thought he would do.
Regardless of him being a complete failure here, I wish him nothing but the best, he's a good lad and I'm grateful for his service and contributions however little they may be. The biggest probably being his goal v Barcelona. I think we all supported him throughout his career at the club and I'm pretty sure ALL of us wanted him to do well but I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
