  1. Our New Stadium

I’m with you on this. I’ve dreamt of this new stadium since he 70’s. We must keep up or get left behind. It’s more than a stadium, it’s a statement of intent to move forward. A modern, iconic London landmark. Can’t wait.
  2. Our New Stadium

We’ve overcome some major hurdles already, the permissions, the planning. The New White Lane seems to be moving swiftly. I seem to remember a short documentary on the Emirates being built. Arsenal had quite a few logistical problems to overcome but got there nonetheless.
  3. Our New Stadium

It’s difficult to predict what may happen in football terms, but I’m sure when the new stadium is up and running, we’ll attract even more top players to the capital. I’m so chuffed this is happening, it was really disappointing not seeing the 1970’s model not come to fruition. The design is incredible, it’s more than a football ground. An iconic statement we can all be proud of. I’ve waited this long, I can wait a few more years yet.
  4. Chopper article - telegraph anyone ?

Francis Lee was the toilet roll magnate.
  5. Alvaro Morata

He was told to do a job yesterday and did it well. I would have burst a lung if he'd scored from that header! Think he needs someone with him (Hazard) then see how it goes. Good luck Alvaro.
  6. Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager

The papers, commentators say we were outplayed yesterday. if you have a game plan that works, stifles the other team, defend well and score goals, surely we've Outplayed' them? Well played Antonio.
  7. There is no club like ours. Never boring and always something happening. I wouldn't want it any other way. We will be managed rightly or wrongly over the years and attract attention no matter.
  8. Alvaro Morata

We've made some astute signings this summer and it's not over yet! Good luck Alvaro.
  9. Vintage Blues pictures and film

A brief view of Stamford Bridge at the beginning of this clip.
  10. Watching Sir Bobby Charltons last game at Chelsea

I was there that day. Twelve years old with a mate from school. No change of getting in The Shed that day, so North Stand it was. Dont remember it being a great game, it was more interesting watching the coming and goings around us.
  11. Random Rumours

    Well said.
  12. Which title win feels the most special?

For me, it gets better every time. I've seen the not so good times but my love this club never dies. Tears in my eyes last night. The older you get, the more it means.
  13. I also think the Hull game is crucial. With a win it's one less game the rivals have to gain points. Simple I know. liverpool have been described as 70% effort and 30% tactical. If we go there and get the tactics right, I'm confident we can pick up points. Mourinho had his moments at Anfield. Let's do it again.
  14. Our New Stadium

So glad we're staying too. Seems like a lot of hard work has gone into this. feel quite proud.
  15. Vintage Blues pictures and film

Could name a few in that picture. Anyone?
  16. Your first Chelsea game?

European Cup Winners Cup Semi-Final 1971 Home against Man. City Ill never forget the sights, sounds and smells of my first game. Shed End behind the goal with my dad. I think I spent half the time watching the bigger lads behind me (Middle of The Shed) having a great time singing, jumping up and down. It was where I wanted to be. The night games were so exciting for a ten year old. A hot dog and an Alan Hudson poster on the way out. Fantastic.
  17. Vintage Blues pictures and film

Chelsea caused 'A considerable hullabaloo!' Whatever next?
  18. Our New Stadium

A nod to the gates that have been used in the past.
  19. Vintage Blues pictures and film

Think I went to the Harry Medhurst/Dickie Spence testimonial game against West Ham. Must of been 1976. Bit of an obscure one.
  20. Jose Mourinho thread

I miss him badly. He will always be a star in my estimation. Mourinho was 'Our' manager, a perfect fit.
  21. Our New Stadium

It's beautiful! It's forward thinking, nothing else compares. The Emirates is just a boring arena but our new stadium is much more. I was dreading a boring bowl but this is top notch architechture in the heart of London and will be envied by many. Seems like a whole new experience on match days cafes, shopping etc. i can't wait, it won't come soon enough for me. Bit surprised its not being used for any other events, but that may change. Love it!
  22. Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread

Can't imagine any other player commanding 600 pages worth of interest but on it goes. Yes, shove it up Gerrard too!
  23. Thank You Mr Roman Abramovich

The man loves football. Puts his money where is mouth is. Would've thought he's at the stage where leaving a legacy becomes more important to him.
  24. Our New Stadium

The fact that the club are looking at temporary venues may be a good thing. I'm wondering if they've been given encouraging news on the redevelopment of Stamford Bridge. To play 20-30 games elsewhere in London is nothing. People who question whether we can fill a large stadium may come in for a shock if tickets are made available on the day. That's another story, but it's getting interesting.
