Can't say I am delighted about that. Stoch, in the limited playing time he got last season, showed signs of being able to perform at first team level and I would rather see him get more opportunities to play for us. I certainly don't think a season in an average Dutch league will be good for him.

Ok...Stoch's Chelsea career is basically over.

good move, regular football will be good for him.
actually don't think he'll make it either (from what I've seen in the reserves and so on), would have preferred him to be out in the championship, but at least rajkovic will have another chelsea player to keep him company.

I don't see how it's a bad thing either - apparently they've lost a couple of their wingers, and McLaren is a decent manager (he's certainly given Rajkovic a good run out anyhow) who could help his development.
He wouldn't have played much for Chelsea next season IMO, especially with Zhrikov's inclusion and Joe Cole's return.

Was pleased untill I read they have the option to buy him, as if he goes there and does well I think they might. Also, the club saying that Twente have the option to buy basically tells me that Chelsea don't want him

I had the same fears when I first heard the news but I don't think Chelsea will let him go that easily. To me, this might be a test to Stoch's character, basically telling him its a make or break season for him. If he does well, and wants to stay at that level, then he's more than welcomed, otherwise, he can come back and try to challenge for a first team spot. He's already close to it.

for me its a perfect opportunity for him, hes sitll only 20 or so and this should tell us a lot about his temperament and ability. i think the pressure on players to make the breakthrough at a young age is getting a bit ridiculous now, its almost if they havent got a first team place by 20 then they never will.

From what I've seen he looks good enough to be given a chance in our team, why don't we ever give youngsters a chance?

is there actually any confirmation of this yet ?

If this is true and they have the option to buy, then that is very sad indeed.
I'm all for him going on loan (although would hope that at least ONE of our young attacking players gets a first team squad place and is given a few opportunities), but ideally to the Championship and ideally NOT withn a view to flogging him.
Does this mean maybe Kakuta will make the step up to the first team in his place, he says incredibly hopefully with no basis for this statement whatsoever?

Twente secure Stoch deal
FC Twente have won the chase for Miroslav Stoch after signing the Chelsea teenager on a season-long loan.
Stoch made five substitute appearances for the Blues last term and had been looking to move out on loan to gain further first-team experience.
The Slovakian forward's agent confirmed Wigan, Reading, Borussia Monchengladbach and Besiktas, in addition to Twente, had been showing an interest.
However, Stoch has opted for a move to Steve McClaren's Twente side where he will link up with another Chelsea player - Slobodan Rajkovic.
Twente have been active in the transfer market this week and have also splashed out a club record to sign Bryan Ruiz from AA Gent.
The Costa Rican attacker had been wanted by the likes of Anderlecht and Zenit St Petersburg, but has joined Twente in a 5million euros (£4.3million) deal.
McClaren has also added Maccabi Haifa striker Ransford Osei to his squad on loan and finalised a four-year deal for South African ace Bernard Parker.

Lets hope the option to buy thing isnt true.
In the limited minutes he got last year, I thought Stoch was sensational. If nothing else he was lightning fast and that alone brought a new dimension to the team
Hopefully in a year we get back one of the hottest properties in the Eredivise

I thought Stoch would be given a permanent bench spot this season and get some decent minutes, but if he's playing all the time for Twente, developing as a teammate with Rakjovic, and he comes back after the season is over, this isn't that bad.

If there is no "Option to Buy" I'm happy. Good for him to get out and get some experience

Not happy about this. I rate Stoch quite highly and if he does go out on loan, I'd rather it would be somewhere where he gets more of a challenge, i.e. in the Premiership. I above all don't want him to leave.

Must admit I was disappointed to see him go on loan but hopefully he'll get to play regularly and prove his is worth perservering with

Just come back from the FC Twente friendly, stoch was by far the best player on the pitch and gave the crowd a nutmeg to cheer about!
