Matic looks like young Ballack in terms of position and style of play. Could be a real gem.

I missed most of the second half but in the first half we were much the better side so it doesn't surprise me we went non to win cmofrtably. I though Sturridge looked good in the first half (I actually thought Borini was poor) and both Alex and Ferreira came through comfortably - Ferreira actually supported the attack on quite a few occasions and had a cracking shot from distance very well saved by their keeper. I was expecting to see Paulo with a nose bleed due to adventuring too far up field.

I know it was only a reserve match but Alex looked pretty sharp and made many great interceptions. Good to see him on the way back. Rikki your time is almost up...............

Very cool game. Borini has a very good form. If everything goes OK, he will be a very good striker and with Sturridge will create a very good pair of strikers.

Thanks a lot for that Scott, I missed the game so appreciate seeing the highlights.
If we'd taken most of the chances we had we'd have gone into double figures! Paulo Ferreira was unlucky with his shot, but he gifted a ball to West Ham on the edge of his own penalty area and was lucky to get away with it - so he still hasn't broken that habit yet. Never mind, a great performance, with Borini looking very promising.
