Personally i would prefer more chances were given to the likes of Tore, kakuta etc in cup games.

I think Ancelotti has said that starting from next season, he will include more youngsters in the league cup lineups. Hopefully he won't do a complete Wenger and play nothing but kids, though. A nice mix youth and experience would be nice. I mean, it's still a cup to be won, even if some say it's a Mickey Mouse cup.

He does have a senior player look about him already. But that's still wrong. On the night, McEachran was the best player on the park by a country mile.

Absolutely right Nibs.  My only issue with McEachran is whether he would be a bit lightweight in the hurly burly of the PL.  Of course it's way too early to know that yet.  The run he went on to set up Sala (I think) was unbelievable.  It was like he was running in slow motion.  He just glided past about three players.  What I particularly liked was not so much his close control and little tricks, it was that he really used the ball well.  His vision was superb.

A great night for the boys and thoroughly deserved.

The game was discussed for an extended period on the radio late on this afternoon and the general concensus was that Bruma was head and shoulders the best player on the park and that he is comfortably ready to play top flight football on a regular basis. However it was also recognised that his biggest problem was that the players ahead of him in the pecking order are not exactly iffy squad players.

bruma's definitely ready, and you're right, that's the only thing stopping him.

but it should be noted he was at fault for the goal we conceded, allowed his man to get in front of him and up for the header too easily.

Did they do their lap of honor in the last game of the season? I didn't see it.
Does anyone have a video of it?

Yes, they did. They stood at the entrance when the players walked into the pitch to lift the EPL trophy, too.
