Does anyone know what has happened to Michael Woods? He seems to have dissapeared and have heard nothing about him for a while. Thought he was a really promising player and now we are hearing nothing.

I've been looking to try and find out where I got the news cos I read it only a couple of weeks ago but can't find it anywhere. Two reserve players were mentioned. Apologies I can't be more specific

FOUND IT!!
Programme notes from last Saturdays game where apparently we won 7-2. In the blurb about the reserves it says:
"Michael Woods and Adam Philip who both have long term ankle ligament injuries, are scheduled to return to training towards the end of the month if all goes well"
It's not often I'm wrong but I'm right this time!!

I wasn't aware of this. Wasn't he out long term with a broken leg a year or two ago? I think he'd not long been back from that injury, so he really is very unlucky.
Probably cursed by the evil Ken.

This thread is a bit old but nevermind. Recycling is all the rage these days. Anyway the lad has gone out on loan to Notts County.

Good luck to the lad after all his injury woes. His chance with us might have been and gone, but I hope he finds a decent future elsewhere if that is the case.

Notts County manager Paul Ince has signed Chelsea midfielder Michael Woods on loan until January.
Woods has been at Stamford Bridge for four years but has had a serious knee injury and has only made two substitute appearances in the FA Cup in that time.
Ince told BBC Radio Nottingham: "He's a Chelsea player so he'll be able to pass the ball - that's for sure.
"He has all the attributes to be a good player and he's only 20 so has time on his side too."
Woods came through the youth ranks at Leeds United but moved to Chelsea in controversial circumstances in 2006.
Leeds agreed a settlement with Chelsea after dropping a complaint that they tried to poach three academy scholars.
Woods has also been given permission to play in Saturday's FA Cup second round tie against Bournemouth at Meadow Lane.

Such a shame that injuries destroyed to career of this lad(destroyed as in his Chelsea-chances). Made his debut as a 17-year old if he remember correctly and just about everyone expected big things from the lad but unfortunatly things didn`t end up that way.
