The reserve team's league season draws to a close tonight (Wednesday) with an away fixture at Birmingham City, although it won't mark the end of match action for the second string.

They will be taking part in a tournament in Amsterdam at the end of May and before that will be playing frequent friendlies including the second leg of a double header against Celtic.

I will be going to cheer the team on :D

I hope carlo and other people who matter have taken notice of this ......both FA youth and Copa Amsterdam means we have the future generation which is capable of reaching great heights...though I dont follow youth football much but am pleased that our young lads have won 2 important trophies.
Let the young blood rise and enter the league. ::clap2::

OMG, the bloke on the left in the blue shirt is one of our newly appointed aldermen. He looks proud, as he should be, to be in Young Chelsea's company. If ever I meet him, I'll tell him it's the highlight of his career.

I considered going to the semi and the final, but after much DIY-ing during the past few weeks, I've lost the will to live, and to move from my sofa. I may perk up when the new fixtures list comes out.

The trophy is bigger than the European Cup/Champions League trophy. Does that mean it's a more important trophy? :D

According to my sources, it's either a roasted turkey garnished with sausages, a slang word for a man's pot belly or a member of several municipal legislative bodies in a city or town. :D

Sir, your sources are dope. Or on dope. I just can't decide. :D

Anyway congratulations to the boys. They've done the team proud!

Can't they be both?

And yes, congratulations to the boys! Sounds like they had to play against some top teams. Even if some of the players were away on international duty and didn't take part in this tournament. Then again, Chelsea didn't have all their best reserve team players either.

A high-ranking member of a borough or county council elected by the council members and not the public ;)
