Spuds getting VDV would piss me right off!!!!
So far its only AS in spain reporting it for an 11 million euro fee. But yes, that would piss me off too, bigtime.

'arry saying theyre waiting to see if its ratified. Maybe if Mr. "only man utd are not a step down from Real Madrid" had a little more brains, he wouldnt be looking at playing for f**king Del Boy right now. Always knew other clubs would pass and he would wind up there, somehow.

Really hope they failed and if they do get him then i'd be pissed we didn't pay 8 million for him when we fork out for a player like Benny. :Connie_threaten:
Glad Di Santo is gone and Sunderland made such a class signing, him & Bent it's looking nice.

Yeah, good luck to Di Santo, i meant to say that before.

Sunderland (iffy) and Birmingham really pulled off some big wins today. Everyone else kinda stood still. And I dont really think West Ham did themselves any favors by rejecting that money for Cole.

Why mention Benny? What exactly does he have to do with VDV? Do you seriously think VDV would have been happy being a squad player? and I can guarantee he would have wanted a lot more wages than Benny is on.

I couldn't give a toss if VDV has signed for spuds or not. We didn't need him therefore we didn't go after him. As for the £8m price tag - yesterday he was valued at £18m FFS - talk about trying to offload deadwood.

Not sure if this has been said, but Guddy is back to the premiership, coming from Monaco to Stoke

He'll suit playing there given their direct style, he's a fantastic link player. Have to say one of my favourites in the last decade or so. Shame about the Barca and Spurs incidents.

Not sure how much VdV is going to help Spurs...but you gotta admit 8m is a good price for him.

Alex Hleb will now play this season at Birmingham!! He made 34 appearance for Stutgart, and was impressive in the champions league home match against barca, but still couldnt find a top club.
BTW,He has a 4 year - 90m Euro buyout contract with barca.

Looks like Birmingham,Spurs and Bolton have done really well with the transfers.

Agreed, he is my favourite ever Chelsea player. Not the best, but definitely my favourite. He's a superb talent, we should never have sold him to Barca all those years ago, he was shining in central midfield.

Does he really have that buyout? Dear god, who exactly did they think they were signing. He was worse than Jesper Gornkjaer for overdoing it and having a rubbish end product, and thats saying something.

Thanks for posting that Mikstaw, god I love that goal. I completely agree with RBJ about Eidur. Not our greatest ever player, but one of my favourites. When he was on form, he was a delioght to watch.

Stoke's style is probably not the best suited for him. I hope he doesn't end up like Tuncay who's their best player but can't get into the team.

Up there for me too it has to be said.

I was gutted seeing him the second year we won the Premiership, and he was out there, but I'm pretty sure he was in jeans and a blue teeshirt, not really joining in on the celebrations. I think he knew he was gone then.

But it makes me wonger, was he not in kit because he han't played enough premiership games that season to get a medal?

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but Liverpool have just signed the mighty Brad Jones from Boro. Jones was the player who was so bad that he got dropped in favour of Ross Turnbull in the season Boro got relegated.
