Erm I dont know how to tell you this but thats pretty much a second necessity after bringing players through for an academy. If it is to become self sustaining then selling players will happen.

Mate, I don't know how to tell you this. I was being sarcastic. The fact that we are finally getting results (both in players making the edge of the first team, and other teams buying from us) is a great thing, and shows just how far the academy has come under Roman

hahah was about to say I think we sold him just to save money due to how expensive it would be to stitch that name on a kit for every match!


With a name like that I bet all of his kits have to be XXL, even if he's only 5'3!

sh*t, sorry. I will now go and flog myself with a west ham strip for being so dense. As you say, the fact we are now selling players from our academy and not just releasing them shows just how different it is compared to a few years ago.
