suggest a trip to the dentist better than watching the U19's!

imagine team of outfield players - 10 physical, athletic, strong..........................clueless, skillless numbnutsl

442.....................1 quick forward and 1 big forward.....................who spend the whole game chasing 1 long punt after the other, nothing thru midfield other than ball winning

smallish, quickish fullbacks who have 1 option - win it then get it forward as fast as possible

1st touch everywhere awful

the dutch were smaller everywhere, but want to keep the ball, pass short and long (quite a lot long to the corners and channels) but accurate, through midfield or over it but varied and accurate, couldve been 4-1 easily

coaching system must be wrong ROOT & BRANCH...............where are the clever, skillfull, not-physical players?

worst performance in an england shirt for at least a month!

Hes got a point though, they really were garbage against Holland. Strangely though the England under 17`s are almost completely the opposite, very clever players who like to play the ball around on the floor.

And yet we have now qualified for the semis. Seems Holland didn't. Strange that.

Football is strange at times, but it doesnt take away from England being extremely poor in the 3 games I watched. France could quite esaily have scored 4 or 5 yesterday, though England did play a bit better.

I haven't really watched any of it to be honest. My comment was aimed more at Mr Cheerful :)

There's too much of the 'if in doubt, put it out' coaching, based on physical attribute's rather than skill at youth level.

And people wonder why Emile Heskey was consistantly picked by 4 different England managers? and won more cap's than Hoddle or Gascoigne!!!?!?!!!

English football need's to start from the bottom up, or the calibre of players will gradually get worse and worse. It's not about foreigners in the English league....the Dutch made the WC final and almost all of the their players play abroad! They have a much better coaching set-up for kid's and it pays off when they produce top international's thay can export.
