Nevermind, just remembered he was loaned out to Forest.

My only issue with loaning out the likes of Jack Cork, who I think is a major prospect, is this...

He has played a full season for Burnley and become a bit of a fans favourite (as I suspect he will) at the end of the season Burnley will want to buy him. Cork has the option of staying at Chelsea - mainly on the bench probably - or going to Burnley and playing regularly in the first team, it can disrupt a lad!

breaking news/rumour is that Wigan might be taking Franco Di Santo on a season long loan:.

Martinez has made an official approach for Di Santo as Jason Scotland’s replacement and the forward’s agent flew in from South America to open talks yesterday.

Di Santo had a loan spell at Blackburn last season that started promisingly but faded away when he was left out of Sam Allardyce’s side.

Chelsea wanted to sell Di Santo but there have been no takers.

I think Cork may end up moving on at the end of the season for regular first team Premiership football rather than stay on our bench. Or Championship football depending on what happens this season.

I think Di Santo's time with us is finished, but where exactly are they coming up with "Chelsea trying to sell him!" Have we ever put out a "come and get him" plee?

i'm not sure to be honest. what i can tell you is that i missed the last couple of sentences from the article linked to above:

Looks like Conor Clifford will be on his way out on loan, but not until after xmas as Carlo wants him to stay until then.

Have we ever loaned out a player to a MLS team?

Its competition level is getting higher and higher and I would think they are atleast on par with the Championship division, yet its probably closest in the world (out side of England) to the EPL in terms of speed and physicality. I also think it would help adjust a lot faster, for example see how well Donovan adjusted to the EPL instantly when he came to Everton.

Think its a good possibility and could give us a better view of how players will do in the EPL as opposed to say the dutch or german leagues.....plus any payer we loan out would most likely get a ton of play time!

Donovan is an exception because he is much better than many of the players that MLS has produced. I don't think loaning players to MLS is a good deal because MLS is mostly about money and not exactly about football. They are trying to attract big old names from europe to try to make their league more relevant to the rest of the world. Aside from that, I don't really think alot of our youth players would want to go play in MLS clubs.

Why don't we just loan our players to the Championship then? There are more games and it's a shorter trip.

Yeovil Town have signed striker Adam Phillip from Premier League champions Chelsea on a month-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old revealed he spoke to former Glovers player Paul Terry and his England international brother, John, before moving to Huish Park.

"Paul is doing physio at [Chelsea's training ground] Cobham at the moment," Phillip told BBC Somerset.

"Both he and John Terry told me Yeovil was a good club to come to so I took their advice."

Phillip was discovered playing Sunday league football as a 15-year-old in Surrey.

He helped Chelsea reach the 2008 FA Youth Cup final, scoring three goals along the way.

This season he has bagged two goals in four games for Chelsea reserves.

"Yeovil said after a reserve-team match last week that they would like me to come down and I jumped at the chance," said Phillip.

"I want to help them get up the table and at the same time improve all aspects of my game."

And the former England Under-17 international is hoping to make his league debut when Yeovil face Charlton at the Valley on Saturday.

"Obviously I would love to start but I'm not sure how the manager [Terry Skiverton] sees it," he said.

"It's a very big game but having seen the boys train, there is a lot of talent and I'm sure we can get a result."

Yeovil are second from bottom of League One with 15 points from 16 games.
