I just noticed that Chelsea's youngsters are playing for a place in the Milk Cup(junior section) final today. They've played three matches so far and they've won all three of them. They've scored 11 goals and have yet to concede a goal.

Chelsea's youngsters won their semi final 4-0 and will face Cruz Azul's youngsters in the final. They've scored 15 goals in four matches and haven't conceded a single goal yet. Cruz Azul probably has had tougher matches. They haven't lost any matches, but they've played one draw and won one match on penalties and they've even conceded goals. I'm no expert on the youth teams that are playing in the competition, but I assume that Cruz Azul will be Chelsea's toughest opponent so far. It's a big Mexican club, so I assume they've got some pretty skillful players already in that age group.

John Swift looks like he's got great potential, look forward to seeing more of him.

You'd have to wonder about the quality of the opposition. I could probably have played for Dundalk 93 at that age.

I did wonder about it, but I also thought that 18 goals scored and none conceded is still an impressive record no matter how you look at it. Especially for U-14 boys because it shows they're disciplined enough to defend well all through the match. If you're better than your opponent, young boys like that can easily lose concentration and you can easily concede a goal if you start being sloppy.
