Shame but not sounding to promising

Straight of the chelsea site;

Numbers were short for the reserves, due to the large squad taken to Portsmouth, so Sam Hutchinson, as a member of the Academy staff, stepped in to fill a gap and played in central defence.

Sam was in action for the reserves again tonight:

Quote

Sam Hutchinson returned to Chelsea's second string in defence. The defender had announced his retirement last season but has been training a few days a week in preparation for his coaching badges and has been involved in some practice games to gauge how much physical loading he can take before actually playing at any level going forward.

I can imagine Hutch taking on a Ledley King-esque role (although perhaps not as much of a big-game player) where he plays the odd specific game where his talents might come in handy. Delighted to hear that he completed 90 minutes, and I really hope we see him appear in the first team again.

I wish the thread title would be changed. I hate seeing 'Sam Hutchinson retires' each time and worrying each time.

How about 'Hutch is back... and now he wants revenge'?
