Well having done a little research, the one I mentioned earlier was Chelsea v Arsenal 1985/86, played on Saturday, September 21, 1985, and we won 2-1. This was the first time we'd beaten Arsenal since Boxing Day 1974 - "and we will fight forever more, because of Boxing Day" - yes I was there as well!,  when we won 2-1 at Highbury.

I remember that boxing day game at Highbury, seriously low turn out from our lot and a bit hairy in the Clock End.

no, we were singing it. Those two games in 76 and boxing day in 77 was probably the best that we have ever had away in london, especially in 77

Couldn't agree more sec, the 76 game was in the League Cup wasn't it, huge mob of Chelsea in the right side of the North Bank and stayed there all game. 77 was, as you say, probably our best London awayday in those times.

Lots of Arsenal memories but does anyone remember a testimonial match against Arsenal at the Bridge circa 1973,? the crowd was pretty spartan and some arrived in the whitewall section it was so empty people were running across the terrace.

If I remember rightly one of them had a spray paint can? More Chels arrived and as far as I can remember the OB took them out.

Cant remember who's testimonial it was, or what the score was?
