Is anyone else following what's going on at the FIFA congress currently?

The FA moved a motion at the congress moments ago to have the presidential vote delayed for a proper investigation into corruption allegations. They were shouted down by the delegates from DR of Congo, Benin, Fiji and Cyprus. Honestly can you name a footballer from any of those countries? There are 208 nations in FIFA 175 of them voted against England's motion. Honestly at least at the UN the permanent members can veto a decision of the mob. Perhaps FIFA should have a veto for England, Spain, Italy, Germany, Brazil and Argentina?

This really is a complete joke of a situation. Swap FIFA for any dictator ran country and you wouldnt even notice the difference.

I was amazed when some people on here were so blase when the world cup winning bids were announced a few months ago, even though it was clearly another example of a bent organisation that is also very anti-English...recent events have shown just what a disgrace Fifa and Blatter is and while our media are at fault for a lot of things, i'm proud that we were the ones that did at least take them on and expose them for what they are...some people suggest the fa were embaraased today as hardly anyone backed them when they called for a postponement of the election (contradiction in terms)...truth is it's the ones who let a dictator stay in charge and do nothing who should be embarassed..

like this piece here...just sums up how virtually alone we are in thinking this is wrong:

UEFA issued a wishy washy "we want to see improvements in 3 months" statement a few days ago. After this, I'd like to see them step it up a gear.

Lets see what would happen to a FIFA without England, Spain, France, Germany, Italy and Portugal.
