Geez, give him a break. I think he has done well for us, and congrats to him for signing a contract extension.

At the end of the day what choice do we have? He`s often infuriating but he`s okay and now that our ability to spend to recruit quality talent is notably reduced and no international standard 19/20 year old has been produced by our youth system, we need to hang on to what we already have or next season we`ll either be fielding Kalou at right back or playing with 10 men every week.

Hopefully only so we can get a few more million for him in the summer. Though quite frankly I'm not sure who would buy him. Maybe Carlo at PSG? or Scolari, where's he nowadays. He bought him in the first place didn;t he?

Well, with Bosingwa in the team it's the same as having ten men!
I keep saying it but we cannot make a serious effort to become a top club again whilst he regularly plays for us. There is so much wrong with his game, on so many levels its hard to know where to start. Teams not only home in on him as the weak link they also set their stall out to ensure he is the one player who gets to see plenty of the ball (see Norwich last week)
Quite how he gets picked ahead of Paulo who is at least half-solid and and certainly gives his all is mystifying. If we do extend his contract it's an absurd decision , because I honestly think ANY alternative to him playing is a step up.
May sound harsh but I've just seen too much nonsense from him now and his regular half hearted, low quality performances have cost our team far too many points.

To be honest, I was trying to be diplomatic. Hand on heart (and a few beers down my gregory) I think that Bosingwa has had his day and he is one of several in our squad who have had their days. I fear that we are on a heading for Aston Villa style mediocrity. It won`t be long before we become like Villa and Arsenal; a feeder club to Man City,Man Utd and Barca (if we actually have anyone they want). We are for the time being pinning our fading hopes of remaining at England and Europe`s top table on a Torres related miracle and an unproven teenager in Josh Mc. Oh and the belief that Frank, JT, Cech and Drogba will continue to be amongst the world`s best players into their 50`s. I like the sound of `transition` and I accept that you can`t thrash everyone week in and week out but our performances this season show nothing else but stagnation and probably decline. We have looked at best mediocre against QPR (twice) and Norwich and Sunderland and Everton and so on. I also have serious reservations about our manager and his coaching staff. But hey ho, we beat QPR and we`re in the next round so everything must be ok. Just like how last week we were toothless and dull against Norwich, but we got a point more than Arsenal and Spurs so that means that everything must definitely be just as we hoped it would be.
Ok, I`m going to bed. Grrrrr.
