Normally I quite like to hear how our players are doing for their country but with our current situation I am worried more about injuries. So any info would be welcome on how our players are doing tonight.

Luiz starting for Brazil. Ramirez on the bench. Strange as he was "unavailable" on Sunday.
Malouda captaining France.

I assume Ivanovich was playing for Serbia, who beat Israel 2-0, goals by Z. Tosic and Trivunovic - and as yet that's as much as I've been able to find out.
Another assumption is that Torres will be playing for Spain v Colombia, which kicks off at 8:30, and I'm pretty sure Bosingwa starts for Portugal v Argentina.

Luiz just took the ball from Malouda and started charging upfield. Malouda tried to get back at him, but couldn't keep up.
At least, thats what I think I saw.

Great ball in from Malouda sets up Benzema, David Luiz does brilliantly to block his shot.

Torres on the bench right now. Ramires still hasn't been involved. Luiz has been fantastic from what I've seen. I think Malouda was taken off because I haven't see him.
edit: nvm Malouda is still on he's just been anonymous since the second half started. Though that could be a harsh judgment because I've been drifting between games.

Maloudas on the pitch, watching it now.
Watching the spain game on a stream right now, hoping to see torres for 2nd half.

1-0 France, cross in to Benzema who scored from close range. Nothing Luiz could have done about it. And a couple of minutes later Benzema came very close to making it 2-0.

Benzema almost scored again. Luiz at fault there, but aside that mistake he's been excellent.

Oh no. Luiz has gone to ground...
What an awful challenge from Menez. Looks like Luiz will be alright though.
