Brilliant for the boys last night, and we actually won a penalty shoot out, I never though I would see the day...

Brilliant stuff from the boys to actually come from a goal down and win it on penalties.

Really well done to the lads, another good performance - not as good as some of late but still much better than Blackburn. It's nice that a lot of the team that one the youth cup last year have made the next step so quickly and successfully.
Special mention to two players that have taken a massive leap forward in the second half of the season; Toddy Kane and Georgie Saville. Other than that Torre still looks a really good prospect. And I still think with the right opportunities Connor Clifford could become a first team regular.

Must admit, I have my doubts about Clifford. I do like him and he has that "edge" to his game which reminds me a bit of Wisey. But whether he could actually make it at the top level might me a big ask of him IMO.
Tore is another. Can be very inconsistent. Lots of tricks and bags of confidence (perhaps too much? - the only penalty that could have been saved what with the little pause in the run up). I think a loan for Tore next season has to be on the cards if he is to develop.
Well pleased for the lads. It's so hard to have a decent reserve team with all the comings and goings of players but they did well. Last night however, pretty much convinced me that Turnbull should never be our keeper - not even third choice.

Personally I thought Bertrand had a great game, he looked in a different class. It'll be a hell of a fight with PVA for the "other" left back spot in the squad - goodbye yuri

Maybe we could consider PVA or Ryan to play in front of Ashley rather like Le Saux and Babayaro used to do so successfully

I wish Virgin Media would hurry up and get Chelsea TV on their service, I'd happily pay to watch this stuff.
Something new for us as well, believe we have three FA Youth Cups also?
