Well, the floodgates are now open. He is PSGs first big star, the first of many. The lure of mega money and a city as beautiful and timeless as Paris is going to lure many many more stars in future.

€35m for Pato close to signing for PSG - could we have missed out on someone else again?

I dont think we're missing out at all. This guy has an injury record a mile long, and makes Torres look like he has been made of steel throughout his career. Its a huge shame, because he is sensational when fit, but I think his best days are behind him. Hope I'm wrong.

That said, I would assume he would cost a rich club far more than 35m euros. Just because he is so young, and the potential if he gets healthy is incredible.

Anyway, I think Milan are run by a bunch of clowns. Theyre selling this guy for probably less than they could if he stayed healthy a few months and went on a good scoring run.  And instead of reinvesting the Pato money in their ancient midfield or creaking defense, they decide to plough it into another forward. Not just any forward, a known cancer in Tevez.

Add him to Robinho, Prince Boateng, Ibra. What is with the team of Maldini, Baresi, and Pirlo collecting assholes by the dozen these days?

Another aspect of this I hadnt considered:

Tevez doesnt go to Milan, but instead winds up at Inter. Galliani and the Milan brass have egg on their faces for selling before they had Tevez in the bag. So they decide to look elsewhere, and spend that 35m Euros on another pacey forward that can give them a similar kind of intelligent counterattacking forward to what they had in Pato.

Life raft for Torres?

From SKY

Update:
Here is the full story on Carlos Tevez. AC Milan’s failure to reach an agreement with Manchester City is thought to be as a result of Alexandre Pato’s decision to snub Paris Saint Germain.

Ac Milan would prefer Pato to go so that they can get Tevez, who they think would be better in partnering Ibrahimovic up front and would score more goals, also Pato is engaged to Berlusconi's daughter and rumours are that somesenior players are unhappy that hes so close to the owners of the club.
I think Pato would be great for us, hes quick, young and got a great eye for goal, plays as a striker alone or next to a big CF and can also play in the hole behind 2 strikers, hes mobile and got a great future ahead of him.
We should snap him up quick before Man City decide they want yet another striker
