So capello the c**t decided to pick welbeck instead of sturridge for the holland game.. im furious about this as I think sturridge is far better then welbeck and can play lw/c/rw and be a boss at it..


your thoughts? all I know is capello is a c**t

Selfishly, anything that motivates Sturridge is good for Chelsea. But it would be nice to see him in an England shirt.

Do EPL suspensions count for England internationals as well? I think FA Cup suspensions do.

Regardless, Welbeck is nowhere near Sturridge's class as a striker. Sturridge can score from virtually any angle, Welbeck is not the same class as a finisher. Welbeck, however, could be a very good winger.

Wellbeck does seem a bit more composed on the ball. Agree about Studge being the better striker though.

I rate Welbeck as a player with considerable potential and don't think there is much between him and Sturridge in terms of their ability at the current time. I wonder if he has got the nod over Sturridge because there is a slight question mark over Sturridge's attitude and temperament whereas Welbeck seems pretty level headed.
