Here's a report on the fan incident at Klanfield:

Inevitably, it was met with this response by an LFC fan on another forum:

It would seem that some organisation had detailed a plant to take a seat in the stand pitchside and racially abuse one of the opposition players. Mission accomplished.
Heysel, Chelsea, Millwall.....Here we go again.

From the Guardian:

Quote

Witnesses reported seeing two fans wearing Luis Suárez T-shirts – similar to those worn by Liverpool players at Wigan last month, after the Uruguayan was found guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra – confronting Adeyemi. A witness who gave evidence to Liverpool officials and the police said: "I was to the right of the Kop and the No11 turned to walk away after a tackle. I heard a single voice shout, 'You f**king black bar steward.' He spun round with shock on his face and started pointing at the crowd, from where the shout had come."

I feel f**king sick.  They were wearing their bloody protest shirts.  This is why people were so pissed off at Liverpool's response to the whole affair.

I hope the morons who blindly defended the club's right to print any press statement they wants feel really f**king clever now.  Morons.

Oh dear. As much as people want to cover it up, it still exists in a big way in the hearts of a large proportion of people all over the world, particularly in the working classes. No real surprise to see it emerge when Liverpool carry on in the manner in which they did.

This should very much guide our policy towards Terry if he is proven guilty.

In my opinion bigotry knows no social, religious, political or national boundaries. It is omnipresent.

I reckon Terry gets 4 and everybody accepts it with more grace than Liverpool.

Question from a Yank, even though I felt like I asked this a year or two ago: Is "bar steward" ever actually uttered, or is that just internet slang to type "bar steward" without being censored.  Thanks.

Edit: Me typing "b@stard" and seeing it auto-corrected to "bar steward" seems to have answered my own question.

This response was so predictable it actually saps all the humor out of it. Of course it wasnt one of their fans. Like you say, it never is.

Im sure this plant was paid off by Man Utd, driven to Merseyside in Ferguson's Land Rover, and the FA had a word with Adeyemi to make sure he went along with it. Big brown envelopes all around.

Tweet of the day:
"Liverpool FC officials are desperate to identify the fans who racially abused Tom Adeyemi, so they know which names to print on the t-shirts."
