A lot of people will probably claim that no one deserves the MOTM award this week, but I make this topic hoping that two much-maligned members of the Chelsea family (Fernando Torres and Florent Malouda) might come in for some deserved praise.

Fernando Torres for sure.

Luiz. Romeu also by far the best midfielder, the other 2 were awful. Bosingwa was lively also.

I thought Terry put in another great performance. I thought it was one of the worst displays from Romeu and Mata again looked average. I'm not saying that he is average, but he was mis-placing passes and lost posession a lot. He needs more creativity around him, and it wasn't there today.
Torres as good as he looked also seemed to disappear in the box. I also hopes he soon gets rid of trying to make large runs himself and instead picks the pass and moves forward to receive again. Far too many times did I see him try another unsuccessful run today.

Ramires.
Missed Wigan and missed Fulham.
Thereby proving how good he is.

Without Ramires our urgency is much less. He's such an engine, if only he could improve his finishing he would be complete. & to think the amount of grief people were giving him when he 1st joined.

Thought Terry was steady and Torres touch seemed more assured than before but was forced to come too deep at times when really we need him playing off the shoulder of the last man. Vote today goes to Luiz who
AVB seems to have reigned in a bit and made a lot of very well timed interceptions.

LOL.
Anyone who actually went to the game needs their eyes tested if they voted him. Although to be fair he did try at least.

I don't see why that was required. He played reasonably well, had a couple of chances, some good touches, closed down the defence quite a lot even when no-one else was helping him. Nobody was brilliant, but he was one of the better performers of a generally below-par bunch.

Luiz let Dempsey in front of him for the goal. How he gets MOM after that I don't know. Malouda for me, looked the most likely to create something by miles.

Also thought Bosingwa's crossing was about as bad as it's ever been. Out of a dozen, only one was truly dangerous.

Voting mom after this performance is quite embarrassing. I voted mata for his goal and a a few nice moves. Improvement from Torres and Luiz, but both went missing during the big moments of the match. Ramires deserves to pay rise, when he's playing, everyone start running. Without him, we are playing at walking pace.

Except when they scored. He made no effort whatsoever to close down Senderos enabling him to run half the length of the pitch and set up the Foolham goal.
Someone above voted for Torres without even seeing the game but because he heard his name a lot on the radio.
In the spirit of that logic I wish to vote for Stan Collymore.

Luiz for me.
You could say he let Dempsey in for their goal but I think that is harsh. Had Cole, Terry & Cech done their jobs it would never had got to Dempsey.
Other than that he was faultless, cleaning up in defence all game, making crucial tackles, intercepting the ball on numerous occasions, popping up everywhere and making a world class to Drogba to boot. A clam and well polished performance with no 'playstation' defending.
Terry & Torres also had decent games but Luiz stood out for me.

If Kalou had played 90m in exactly the same way Torres did he would have got slated by many. I keep on saying it, but I really do want it to work out for Torres, but I just don't think it will. I'm not against him, he just did ok. No way near MOM.
