A lot of the young German stars are preferring to stay in Germany. I don't get to watch too much of the Bundesliga, wish it was on more here.
Its definitly a league on the up.Quality national side every stadium every week is always near capacity with unbelievable atmospheres.Players talk about loving the atmosphere at premiership games this is on another planet for noise levels. I can definitly see why the younger players want to stay at their home teams its an excellent league.

Might be worth taking a punt on Jordan Rhodes from Huddersfield Town - seems a natural born goalscorer. Okay players from lower leagues often don't make it it the top league these days but natural scorers can make it anywhere at the end of the day

Just watched that game, he's a raw talent but it wouldn't take a lot of money to get him, just wonder if he is on par with our back up players

Beat me to it Geezer. Saw him play at Exeter where I'm a student, scored a hattrick (admittedly against a weak defence) and looked a class act. Apparently Joe Jordan was at the game today watching him so looks like Spurs are interested. I doubt he's the type of player we'd go for in any case, but will be interesting to see if he does well at the top level like Grant Holt or fades like Jon Stead/Beckford etc.

Huddersfield's manager just said that he won't be going anywhere no matter the price. Nice little match for him though tonight. Plenty of poachers goals.

Well Lukaku is "raw talent" as well, and he cost about £18m..

true, but he's not playing week in week out, and by back up players I include Lukaku.

I'd heard quite a lot about the lad prior to last nights game so thought I'd watch to see if the hype was true. Turns out it was. He's good.

I hear that Gokhan Tore is a decent youngster who wouldn't cost too much....

James Maclean from Sunderland looks a decent winger, fast and a wicked cross! And young!

If we were to bid for bargain players, then as geezer mentioned, Collison at the spammers is a good shout.

Good & skillfull, with a great eye for a pass & young enough to adapt to the pressure/life at Chelsea.

Also,if Cahill is still arguing about the amount of beer vouchers he want's to be paid, what about Collison's spammers team mate James Tompkins?.

The lads a bit rough but has got plenty of natural talent & like Collison,is young enough to adapt/improve his game.

And less face it,if nothing else, the spam heads know how to produce a good centre half,(Moore (RIP),Rio etc).

Just a thought really.
