His overhead v Leeds was f**king blinding, one of my top 10 Chelsea goals EVER

Such a brilliant player, especially in that partnership with JFH. He had 2 seasons where he was one of the best strikers in europe, but I also feel he never fully fulfilled his potential with us. I hated his last season with us, he was neither a striker nor a midfielder and no-one knew where to play him, plus he was very inconsistent and i feel it marred his time with us slightly. Love the bloke though, and its great to see another player who loves our club as much as we do.

Fantastic striker. As has been said his overhead goal was a case of 'Did I just see that ?' followed by of 'What a goal !'

Yeah he wasn't used well in that final season. Drogba had finally come into his own and we focused on him, Eidur was more a bit part player, a guy who played because you couldn't leave him out, but we sort of tried to make a spot for him and it wasn't necessarily always a positive thing.

I love him, I had newspaper clippings of him over my wall when I was younger.

That reminds me of the shot of him in the tunnel on the final day of the season in 2006, when we were all celebrating the title, but he knew his time with us was over. He looked pretty depressed about (knowing his next stop would be a sh*te club like Barcelona).

Eidur's just one of those players, not a world beater, but like people like Petrescu, Wise, Di Matteo...you just love them anyway.

I personally think he was a bit better than you're giving him credit for. It's not for nothing that he was one of the very few players who made the transition from pre-Roman to being a big part of Jose's title winning teams.

One of my all-time favourites. I was devastated when he left for Barcelona.
That video about him and JFH nearly brought a tear to my eye, good ol' memories.

Thought he was underrated as a part of our 04 title winning side. Or maybe its because he was a favorite and I wanted him to get more credit.
