We didn't have any trouble at Newcastle, so the other lot at home shouldn't worry us unduly.

Ramires on the right wing doesn't work very well imo. He can't cross, but then again neither can most of our players. Sturridge is a bigger threat on the right than Ramires. And Ramires is a bigger threat in the centre than he is on the right. So a no brainer for me.

I think Ramires has something to offer on the right, but I don't think he's better there than Studge is, nor do I think it's worth dropping Sturridge to weaken central midfield.

I think both Sturridge and Ramires might have something to offer on the right, but the main problem I have is that neither of them can cross the ball.
Sturridge even has to stop and turn to his left foot before he cross the ball. Very annoying to watch.

The thread title is confusing. I had to go check again that we were home.

Sturridge has assisted plenty with his right foot, just have a look at the recent one vs city..
people nagging on one of our best players is just plain annoying.

Tbh I couldn't give a rats ass if torres scores or not as long as we keep winning and he keeps contributing to wins like he has done in the past few weeks. If he dosn't score for the rest of the year but keeps racking up the assists I'd be delighted.
Thank you. People keep taking shots at him for "only" getting assists and not goals. Question: if he bags an assist, it means the team scored, yes? Who cares who scores it. It's 1 for Chelsea, period. Sure, it's a little unconventional to have your striker setting up goals instead of being the one to finish them, but again, who cares? As long as it goes on the scoreboard for CFC, I couldn't care less who actually puts it in.

Tbh I think everyone is just sick and tired of the "torres bashing" from other clubs and journalists. It would be nice if it was him banging in the goals and someone assisting him just so it could shut them all up and get them off his back but like I said II've been very pleased with his his contribution lately when given the chance so let it continue please nando.

Oh I agree. In an ideal scenario, Torres is the one scoring as opposed to assisting, just so everyone relaxes and gets off his case. But big picture, it doesn't really matter who's scoring, so long as it's someone in a Chelsea shirt.

If we can put a run together which with the fixtures we have shouldn't be to hard then I beleive there is still an outside chane of the league. Top 4 is obviously the main aim at the moment though.

I would have to disagree. Not that I'm discounting the value of his passing. I'm not. You're right, it matters.
But the lack of production from the central forward position has been a big problem for most of the season. It needs to change if Chelsea are to achieve anything.

An early goal please (opposed to a defensive mishap) and we're in business. I believe Sturridge is fit to start and that is a massive +

A tough game as O'Neil has quickly turned them around since his arrival.
Still fancy us to win it 2-0

Didn't see the Pompey cup game, but Meireles has been infuriating to watch with his lax passing and horrendous long range efforts, so wouldn't mind having Lamps in the centre for this one alongside Ramires. If Sturridge is fit then that's a huge bonus, still our best change of getting a goal despite not quite maintaining his earlier standards. Would love to see Mata moved centrally somehow, but as has been pointed out a million times, we have no natural wingers so for the time-being it's not going to happen.
And yeah, despite their recent form, I'm sure O'Neill's savvy enough to see that putting 10 men behind the ball and trying to hit us on the break is their best option. Expecting a tough game. Let's just hope Bendtner provides some comedy.

Was quite confident about this game, I then had a dream that Torres scored the only two goals.
Now it Looks like a 0-0 to me.

I had a dream it was 0-0, but then again I also had a dream where I was in a trench war scenario but instead of guns we had to shout questions at eachother and if you couldn't answer you died. I died when one of my lecturers shouted a question at me about 4 bit adding machines. It's quite an odd experience to wake up saying 'use 4 DFF flip flops'.... Make of that what you will.

Funny that. I had a dream we were 2 down at half time and he was taken off. I normally dream about him scoring and he never does so lets hope the trend continues of my dreams being the total opposite.
Haha, yes. However knowing Torres neither of us will be right and he will set up 3 goals and get man of the match.
