Looks quality no doubt. The hype train is beginning to heat up for him though, be a bit worried about what we might have to pay.

I saw a quote a few days ago saying he wants to stay in Brazil and his manager wants him to stay, maybe Brazil Blue can clarify.

Don't think this is one transfer to be holding out too much hope for, in this window anyway.

Have you ever heard a player say he "wants" to leave a club. before he knows he has a guaranteed move secured. Of course Lucas would say he wants to say in order to keep his fans happy. As for the manager, In Brazil nobody has less power at a club then the manager. If you think Chelsea go through managers fast, You should look at Brazilian club football. A manager is lucky to survive 1 year, Some clubs go through 2 managers in a year. As for Lucas. Money talks in football. Everyone has their price.

Let's be realistic here, Lucas Moura will never play in a Chelsea shirt... Hate to rain on people's parades but when clubs like Real, Barca, and the few in Italy are also in the running, it is a no brainer to say a young Brazilian will opt for them first. This kid looks spectacular but I am not so sure these moves would work in the Prem and his style of play is more suitable for those other leagues... Hope I am dead wrong here but history is certainly in my corner, Unfortunatley...

I don't mean to sound rude BrazilBlue, but some of your posts in this topic are just painful to read, I as much as the next member enjoy your vids of neymar, lucas and whoever else thats brazilian but it seems sometimes if anyone dares to disagree with you over one of these heroes of yours you actually become very spikey and come across abit arrogant and i read one post where you basically had Mceachran down as only hyped as he's English and not the talent we all think he is which i found annoying. We'd all like to see Lucas or Ganso here but it seems too me if anyone says no and that they'd prefer a non Brazilian you don't like it very much. One last thing when someone mentioned Willian who IS Brazilian you completely shot it down in flames and said hes absoloutely not in the same galaxy as Lucas although even though Lucas looks great on his compilations.. I'd argue with you very strongly that Lucas may be the next big thing, Willian has played in the champions league and gave excellent perfomances against the likes of Barcelona and Roma so find the way you kind of spoke about a Brazilian doin well in a better league abit disrespectful.

But of course i could be completely taking you all the wrong way :)

Not saying this transfer has a good or bad chance of happening but AVB may want to bring in some instant help now that Ramires has gone down. Even more of a reason to throw a little more cash at him.

Well we have Essien back and we seem to love to play wide midfielders/wingers as central midfielders so Malouda can solve all our problems.

I posted at the end of the last transfer window on here that we would sign Cahill and De Bruyne in January. The same guy told me last week Chelsea have made a firm offer for Lucas and Hazard is likely to be a realistic target in the summer.

There seems to be a Belgian/Brazilian feel to our future. Courtois looks a great buy, I know an Athletico fan who I met when we played there in the CL and he reckons he is the best keeper in Spain already. Lukaku, Piazon, Ramires and Luiz are great influences to us signing the 'big cheese's'

Hazard I really believe will be ours next season, we have a chance with Lucas purely because he plays for Sao Paulo. Pele was a great footballer, one of the best of all time but the geezer is in a protective time warp. Sao Paulo tend to let their players go when the time and money is right. The other big cheese is of course Neymar who under the annoying Pele's influence will eventually end up at Barcelona.

If we sign Willan I think it will be because the others have chose not to sign for us.

about the amount left in the dead sea I would say...

I have 0 hope for this happening but if for some reason we end the day (despite the fact we have a game) with this guy on our books it will have been an excelent window.

Sure be nice but its probably a reach. Especially with the other clubs in Europe in the running. With that said, I would love to see a Brazilian/Belgian influence for Chelsea, as Star mentioned. Both countries have some young and exciting players that could make Chelsea dominant for years to come. I wonder what kind of money will it take to pry this kid away and that is if he even wants to play in England?

Didnt Luiz have a late medical in Portugal when we signed him? So not out of the question really. But I dont think theres any chance of this happening.

I wish Lucas was on for longer. He is better than Neymar and he did more in his 10 min than Neymar did in 90. I absolutely love Lucas Moura. He is going to be a world class player and he does play like that every week for Sao Paulo. It is worth watching Sao Paulo games online just to see Lucas Moura do his magic.

Way late to the party, but if I were a doctor that would totally be my job. 7 years of medical training spent hanging out in Brazil just to do an emergency medical on the next Brazilian wonderkid for CFC!

I did watch two Sao Paulo games a few weeks ago. A few flashes of skill, but he really didn't impact either match. My conclusion was that he needs time to mature.
