I think the gay level of this thread is on level red...not really fair on the young boy.

And I thought Calvin Klein got himself arrested for taking photos like these of young men in undewear?
....Later in 1995 Klein's advertising campaign showed teenage models in provocative poses wearing Calvin Klein underwear and jeans. The ads were withdrawn when parents and child welfare groups threatened to protest and Hudson stores did not want their stores associated with the ads. It was reported that the Justice Department was investigating the ad campaign for possible violations of federal child pornography and exploitation laws.

a few years ago i thought we really needed to land one of benzema, pato, aguero, or balotelli. we unfortunately we regrettably didnt, now there is some fantastic midfielders available and i hope we bring 1 or 2 of, lucas, hazard, gotze, hamsik, ganso, neymar, eriksen, thiago. We've missed out on these sort of players under roman far too many times. we could have signed the likes of tevez, mascherano, robinho, etc. before they proved themselves in europe.
Not sure I'd have wanted to sign Tevez, Mascherano or Robinho tbh

I'm surprised there haven't been that many rumours of us going for Hamsik, he's f**king amazing and gets overlooked because of Cavani but he's just as good if not better, and does exactly what we need. Although I don't think there's any way Napoli would let us have him.

Agreed, Hamsik is a fantastic player. I have long been a fan and mentioned him a few times in threads on these forums. One thing, he has been playing out wide lately, so if we are after Hazard would we need Hamsik? Also with Mata in the team, the addition of Hazard would pretty much negate the need for Hamsik.
I am trying to figure out if we could have both of these players (Hamsik and Hazard) and still be effective?

Are there any stories actually linking us with him recently?
It just seems we all know he's good and want him here

Lucas is about 10 times better than Wilian. We have no reason not to sign him

Money? Availability? I'd like to think if we could afford him, and he'd be interested in a move to Chelsea then we'd be straight in for him.
Chelsea is just not a preferred destination at the moment for big time stars or wonderkids. Man City will pay 100 mil a week more, Madrid will pay just as much as we do and also offer the beach and less taxes, Barcelona offers success and the best football in the world. Then you have the Milans that some players just gravitate to because playing in Italy still has an aura about it.

Madrid offers the beach? It's been awhile since I last looked at a map, but I'm pretty sure Madrid is smack dab in the middle of Spain, and landlocked to say the least.

Chelsea may not be the "location" that wonderkids are looking for, but we do have the advantage when trying to get young brazilians. We already have Luiz and Ramires and they both have had lots of success with the team. Other Brazilians have to see that. We also can offer instant playing time when compared to Madrid or Barca.

I suspect we're in the middle of a sea change as far as salaries go. City, not surprisingly, are putting the brakes on more spending. Chelsea clearly, and for a few years now, have tried to reign in spending. Barca have budget issues. Italian clubs are suffering.
The last of the big spenders are Madrid, who have no constraints, it would appear. They're raking in the money. But elsewhere FFP is beginning to bite, I think.
It may take a while for players and their agents to adapt their expectations to what I believe is the new reality.

That perception could change quickly if Ramires doesn't become a more consistent player and better passer and if Luiz becomes an unused sub with the arrival of Cahill.
