No we are not, ridiculous hyperbole, goes with others saynig AVB is the least tactically aware manger in the prem. Your right though, AVB has bluffed his way to Porto by lluffing his way at another club, completely bluffed his way to a season without losing, bluffed his way to winning a european title etc. He`s the ultimate bluffer, its amazing how only you have noticed this.

Exactly, if AVB has bluffed his way to all of this then get this lad on a poker table!

Just ignore him DKW - he's a negative troll, only ever comes in here to post negative sh*te or snide "witticisms"

You know I am Captain of the Team Frank, and we've disagreed this season over him quite a bit, but I think you know that there is no one who controls the tempo of our team like Frank does. He is the metronome and we play to his pace, he would have known to slow it down yesterday, because he has been killing off games with us like this for nearly ten years.

All sounds great in theory, but I honestly think he struggles to control the tempo of matches these days. Of course I would have preferred Frank to have been on the pitch than Malouda but you are remembering the Lamps of old, not the current one - he got completely blown away by Arsenal earlier in the season (highline or not) and the 1-3 against Villa - again he struggled as much if not more than anyone that day and was responsible for one of the Villa goals.

I've reviewed my marks and have to increase Ivan to an 8. The more I see that penalty decision the more I realise how harsh it was. It was a tad clumsy and he kind of stumbled a bit and I can see why Webb gave it only seeing the incident the once at full speed but once again, the attacker knew where Ivan was and made sure he made contact with his leg.

What I had forgotten though was how many challenges Ivan made throughout the game and the fact that he won that great header which put Torres clean through. Any centre forward would have been proud of that flick on.

I had Ivan has my man of the match, had him at no fault for the penalty and noted all his great challenges throughout but having seen the 3rd goal again, I did question 'could he have closed Giggs down better and prevented him picking his spot for the cross?'. My answer was yes , so on my scale he'd lose a point and I'd now make Mata MoM. Just shows we all see the same game but pick different things to focus on, what a great game football is!

I made the point in the MOTM thread. It was top draw delivery by Giggs but Ivan standing off gave him the time to pick his spot.

Needless to say i disagree but we'd just be going around in the same circles again. So ill let it slide.

I can understand the contention with the first one, but how is this even disputable?  What more could Ivan possibly do?  Welbeck makes NO attempt to keep balance or control the ball, his entire objective is to kick Ivan's leg and fall over.  Disgusting.  Notice Rooney calling for the penalty before he even hits the ground.

Danny Mills of all people:

"When Chelsea went 3-0 up you thought 'that is it, game over'. But, as we know, United never give up. They got back in it with a soft penalty and then got another one which for me was not a penalty. That could be a turning point for them in the season."

I draw a distinction between a good tactician and someone who can motivate a bunch of Kings Road superstars. The latter is probably mission impossible, even for JM
