When I came down from the hype yesterday afternoon, I immediately felt that this was an end of an era.
This is the time that we need to get rid of the old guard with a few exceptions. These are the players I would get rid of.
Hilario - Only brought in as emergency cover. I would demote Turnbull down to third choice and Courtois as second choice.
Ferreira - Right down the pecking order this season. I would keep Bosingwa as backup. Ivanovic in first team and buy Van Der Wiel
Essien - Injury has hampered him for the last couple of seasons lost his pace and power. I would keep Merieles and start playing McEchran.
Kalou - Shouldn't of played at all on Saturday. I was literally screaming at the screen to get him subbed about 30 minutes in. Sturridge to replace him
Malouda - Getting on a bit, never really a fantastic player. Marin should be an ideal replacement or even Bertrand
Drogba - Yes I said it. He has done everything for us now but for the sake of Torres who is a younger and on his day better striker, he needs to go.
My Team for next season would be:
GK - Cech
DR - Ivanovic
DC - Luiz/Cahill
DC - Terry
DL - Cole
DM - Mikel/Romeu
CM - Ramires
CM - Lampard
AMR - Sturridge
FC - Torres
AML - Mata
Subs:
Courtois
Cahill/Luiz
Mikel/Romeu
Marin
Lukaku
Merieles
McEchran
Where do we go from here?

I think Hilario is staying on as a coach, and has shown that he can slot in when Cech is injured without looking rusty or as unreliable as Turnbull. Judging by Hilario's popularity within the squad (judging from what I can see at least) and his rapport with Cech (talking strategy before the penalties, carrying him around on his shoulders during the celebrations) he's a good choice for the job.

Bump.
Thoughts on stadium?
i think we should stay at the bridge.
correct me if i'm wrong but i saw somewhere ages ago that we could develop the bridge to hold 53,000 (or something like that)?

Agree with Meireles. As for Kalou, he has plenty of seasons and consistently failed to prove himself; i think it's time to say thank you for your time here and move on.
And I have said this so many times on various threads when people start talking about him: KDB is going back on loan to Genk. It was part of the deal when we signed him.

His going back on loan for the rest of the season was part of the deal. Nothing beyond that, and there'd be no point his going back to Belgium now - he's ready for a stronger league, if not necessarily for our first-team squad.

Where do we go? Back to the top of Europe. In order to do so we will need a larger stadium or Stamford Bridge to continue to be competitive there.

I think we need to find more goals from somewhere, we lack consistency throughout the season. We have lots of big game players but seem to lack a lot of those with the consistency and danger to make things happen throughout the season and against lesser opponents. I would like to see quality wingers who can score, someone like Hulk even though there are many who are against it. We also need to improve squad depth throughout to ensure that we have the energy to play throughout the season and with the addition of games like the Super Cup and Shield. It might also be in our interest to use the FA Cup to fully work our youngsters next year and maybe concentrate just on the League and Europe.

I think this would be a good moment to change things around at Chelsea. Make the team a bit younger, change philosophy and start afresh.
Get a manager whom we trust and give him time. We've won the CL now, so we don't have to chase after it.
Let some younger players get a decent chance and make sure that the ones who goes out on loan goes to a club where they will play. We've made too many mistakes with that.
As long as we don't dare to let youths prove themselves we will fail to get someone through the ranks like we've wanted to for so long. Instead we will squander their ability and then they might move on and have success somewhere else and we'll stand there wondering how the hell we screwed it all up.
Let's face it, young talents will hesitate joining us if we keep doing this.

Next season will be very interesting, are we going to push on with 2-3 key signings or we will take a step back like after we won the double under Carlo? What do we do with the Senior players like JT, Lampard, Cole etc? I hope we will not put all our money on them next weekt to repeat the heroics for the whole season. Are we going to rely on Torres, Sturridge to score 20 + goals for the season? On one side I hope we stick with what we got, but definitely wouldn't mind a Cavani, Falco ends up here.
Being Chelsea, I just don't think we will do it the easy way
