Is it not too insensitive to ask who was deemed as the TOP man.?    Ive seen DH in action.....Thinking man. Brave. Good man manager..........................Ive seen B in action.....Well balanced, tough seemingly fearless.Good squad.......................Ive seen SH in action....Intelligent....fast. brave.kowledgable...............Ive never really known who was deemed the best. Anyone remember Colin from the mid 70s? He had a blond Ziggy Barnet and I remember he gave me and my brother a ride to Brighton for a bank holiday outing before we went to Charlton in the evening where, oddly, their stand caught fire!

Had a drink with Colin Saturday night for a Chelsea Boys 50th,over in Egham watching a Sex Pistols Tribute Band!

Just stumbled across this thread.Talk about blast from the past.Recognise you rumpole from that picture of you with the bay city roller look.I had the same hairsyle back then.Ive got more of a kojak type head now.Talking of which I remember the chelsea version well(rip) as I do bill finney(me and him in the popside derby once),colin daniels(hounslow)Gareth(tartan hat)and of course danny,babs,hicky etc.Others that spring to mind ,Ginger pimlico,scotty,sean ofarrell,little tommy ,Robbo from stockwell? and many more.Great days fantastic memories.
