SCOTTISH football ?................Akin to our Blue square leagues
Probably about right.
Poor attendances in SPL this season.
eg Inverness Caley attracted 2500 ish for theri last home game and they are having their best season League wise !

Scottish football has been dying for decades!
I recently came across this article from 1969 (same source as the Tommy Doc interview) entitled: The 'OLD FIRM' stranglehold is killing the game in Scotland. which I can scan and post here later if you're interested.
What decline? It's been pish for years. The league reform will make pretty much no difference to it either, fans won't come back until the on the pitch standard increases.
Rangers & Septic have obviously dominated for over a century, but in my lifetime I've seen the likes of Aberdeen, Dundee United and Hearts challenge strongly. Not the Hibees though, they only managed 3rd place a couple of times. Even St.Mirren and St.Johnstone matched this, though please correct me if I'm wrong, EB, my memory isn't what is once was. ![]()
I also remember a small mob of Hibees walking through the Nethergate in Dundee in 1977, smashing up shops on their way to the game (can't remember if was at Tannadice or Dens Park). They came unstuck further up the road though when a mob of Dundee locals decided a wee chat was in order.

Didn't dominate the 2007 league cup, in fact I believe it was said Hibees who papped you out
I wouldn't class Hearts splitting the old firm, paying players they couldn't afford challenging, they're paying for it now thankfully! Hopefully won't survive
.
It wouldn't surprise me some bams in the Hibs support as most in Scotland. However the refereeing in the Hibs game today summed it up. A penalty for a foul outside the box, on top of Craig 'Stevie Wonder' Thompsons performance during the week... We really are just continuing downward. ![]()

100% agree mate.
Refereeing again today showed Scottish football for what it is, a ball almost 2 yards over the line, and the ref and linesman didn't see it, cost Hibs the derby, disgraceful.

Not sure if I'm mistaken or not, but when the camera zoomed in on the linesman in question, It looked very much like he had a 'Specsavers' sponsor badge on his sleeves. Much as I always want the Jam Tarts to win these games, that decision was an utter disgrace.
