Edit: only positive was JT had a strong game, if he doesn't play against Utd on Sunday then FSW is even more demented than ever imagined (if that's possible).

What exactly does Steve Holland do?

 

We all know how useless Rafa is but in the past we've had Steve Clarke, Ray Wilkins and Roberto Di Matteo as assistant coaches all of which have a bit of charisma about them.... Steve just seems to be another face in the background.

Even in this season, this was one of our poorest games. Notably little effort, no organisation and an incredible amount of waste in possession and lack of quality. I expected some of that, but to see it all, again, brings home exactly how much we've gone back since Benitez came.

 

I can't go without mentioning Torres - he is done, last night he was as abysmal as I've seen a player be.

Not a surprise, but cannot blame this on only having Torres up top. With Ba up top iot would be the same lifeless, unspirited display we have come to expect from our group of players (the term Team seems too good for them at the moment)

Something usually kicks in with us, and our team around this time of the year as we meet 'the business' end of the season, we get within touching distance and then go that extra mile to acheive it, with the manager eeking the very last drop from everybody, last season was the prime example.

 

I don;t think our manager has been in this position at any time recently and therefore does not know how to handle the situation.

 

Our form over the start of the season and the demise of Arsenal may be enough to squeeze us into a top four spot, because current performances and resulsts will not do it, we a limping from one bad performance to the next and it shocking, especially after the way we started the season!
