Hi fellow Shed enders.

I'd just like to make you aware of my new book on our Champions League winning season is out on Amazon and other booksites.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Phoenix-Project-Chelsea-Champions-League-ebook/dp/B00PHP91VW/ref=sr_1_sc_3?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1416310429&sr=1-3-spell&keywords=the+pheonix+project

The book has at least 486 pages of comment, interviews and match reports to bring back memories of what looked like a season of despair into the greatest cup win in our history! This is the only complete season review on Amazon for any Chelsea season, if it starts to sell better, I'd like to complete a back history of our seasons for our fans to read.

Please give the preview a read and let me know what you think of it. If you do buy it please leave a review, good or bad.

Many thanks

David

Says it will appear on my Kindle (app), but hasn't :(

Have you tried the purchases on Amazon and then resend?

Has anyone else had this problem?

Please let me know what you think of the book as I would like to write some more of these if there is demand.

Liverpool have 'They Dared to Dream', ours should be called 'They dared to win'.

Actually it was in discussions with a Man Utd fan that this came about on a long shift spent reading the hilarious parody reviews posted about their epic trophyless season on amazon made me look at if we ourselves had anything in the way of books on the Champions League. We do have one at £7.99 and 60 pages but nothing substantial so this was written.

The title "Phoenix project" is in reference to Villas Boas' neverending talk about his "project" and how it was going to revolutionise Chelsea. The phoenix part is the rising from the ashes of Naples and West Brom to somehow, someway return to beat Napoli, Benfica, one of the best teams of all time in Barcelona, Liverpool at Wembley and finally our first ever Champions League win against Bayern in their own backyard. It's amazing in retrospect and was a lot of fun to write about and I hope everyone that reads it enjoys it too.

However never having to listen to Villas Boas again is something i'm going to savour now for a long time.

Yeah it's such a great achievement. Arsenal 2004 was still my favourite game as a Chelsea fan, the Barca followed by Bayern.

I always view the success in a wider context. After the Man United loss in 2011, I had given up on the notion of that era of players winning the Champions League.

I'll be sure to buy the book once I get a kindle.

Managed to get the sample via the Kindle app. Seems a good read. Noticed a couple of typos early on, would you like them highlighted, or is it too late to edit?

Nothing like using someone else's money and website to make a quick buck hey.

If I have offended you, then I do apologise.

If you look at the actual book itself, it really isn't a way of making a quick buck as I will end up loosing money realistically due to the long, long time I took making this to the equivelent working hours I could have done instead in my job compared to the units that will be realistically sold.

It's never too late to edit and resubmit, though with Amazon it does take awhile. If you do see some send me a PM and i'll change them all. It is a 135,000 word book so I'm bound to have some slip through the net.

It's not your book I have an issue with, it's the fact you're using someone else's website and someone else's effort in building a community to promote your own book. With all of 8 posts contribution, I might add.

Again I do apologise and understand if you feel this way. I have posted on other threads and am quite active on other Chelsea sites recently. One of which was kind of enough to post a link to my book on the front of their facebook page.

The book as Beerqueen said above is for Chelsea fans and has been incredibly difficult to get to people's interest. We Chelsea fans have a severe lack of titles compared to the other EPL clubs on Amazon and the other online bookstores and all I wanted to do was bring it to people's attention.

I quite like the irony of you slating someone for using this site for free for their own personal gain when you've been a registered member of The Shed End since 2006 and yet have never felt to donate to site... Except for snide remarks.

Really enjoying this. The typos and stuff are nothing to worry about.

Would love to read a similar story of our 2004/2005 season

Any typos you find please tell me :)

A 2004/5 season book would be enjoyable to write and a lot easier to listen to than 3/4 AVB lol!

Perhaps if it would be ok once more people have reviewed the book, I could put a poll up to ask what season people would like?

Will do, alhough with font scaling I wonder if it will be hard to identify the location??

Shouldn't be a problem unless there's a load lol!

Just PM me the matches in which they are in and i'll change them up in an update to the book.

Glad to hear you are enjoying it. :)

Have bought it.

Can't find the typo I was looking for. Just shows how hard proof reading is, and also, how spell checkers miss things.

I'm reading it via a Kindle App on my phone and have found the following in the introduction:

Firstly an 'aging squad' should be 'ageing squad'. I may be wrong here, but if not, see 8/7694 and 232/7691 edit: just checked 'aging' is US English, whereas 'ageing' is........... English :)

25/7694 'won't missing' should be 'won't be missing'??

34/7694

Last sentence before CONTENTS

'Relieving' should be 're-living'

I think :)

Loving the read
