That's true but if our club wants him they must see something in him, Celtic has been a decent club to buy from in recent times. From what I have seen he is a good player, I know we have 5 scouts for Scotland and the North because my friend was training to scout for us with the main guy I forget his name, so these guys are well watched, they will have the scouts notes, we have a computer system at Cobham, with all players we have scouted plus the scouts notes, so the manager always has a good but of info on players.

I'm not really critical of the player as he might be great. I just find it hard to judge players because of the league itself is absolutely awful. Anyone can win the league as Celtic manager and I just see it as embarrasing when someone like Sinclair goes to Scotland and does really well. That shows me the standard of that league.

I would be surprised if Celtic let him go this window but money talks and Celtic are not really playing for anything domestically anymore.

If the money is right they will sell, they win the league by default, but again as poor as the league is players like VVD and Wanyama have come to the PL and done very well.

Also forgot to mention he is a product of the PSG youth academy, spent 8 years there, and has been capped at youth level for France 30 times, won French youth player of teh year 2016,  definitely got more going for him than playing for celtic and remember he is only 20, tottenham wanted him last year btw.

I saw Wanyama playing in the SPL and thought what a good player, he will probably do well in the premier league. Some guys just stand out. What's his name Valencia was a stand out before he went to manu. Somethings seem obvious but just don't happen.

Mousse dembele could be just the go but we've left it very late.

Dembele isn't even Celtics best player, that's Scott Sinclair who we all know failed in the EPL.
Absolute madness, he's not even the top goalscorer in the Mickley mouse SPFL.
As someone who watches Scottish football this would be a ludicrous deal

Actually celtics best player is Tom Rogic but never mind that. :-)

Australia's biggest talent ATM. Would like to see him in a better league (Celtic is a decent club).

I like Aaron Mooy and Matt Ryan but the former is playing in the Championship while the latter is stuck on an underperforming Valencia's bench. Might have moved from Club Brugge too soon.

Sounds really wierd to me. Clearly something in it when both Matt Law and SSN are reporting on it but i don't think he's any better then Michy who is hardly playing himself.

Put Michy in the sh*tty SPFL and he'd score far more than Dembele has been.

We are going to be paying 30 odd million for someone who's not as good as our current back up striker. Bizarre

To be fair if you see a player totally dominating a game especially against a top opponent you can say he has tons of potential. He can become an Oscar or a Hazard. It is always a risk.

Has he done that yet? I know he scored a few in the CL but still.

Ross McCormack scored against inter milan

Tony Watt scored against Barcelona

The list goes on.

Again thing is he isn't even Celtic's best attacking player, Sinclair is miles ahead of him at the minute.

Short answer, I dont want him at all.

Abraham is younger and as talented and in Dembeles 40 odd Championship games last year he got 15 goals, Abraham already has 15 goals for a terrible Bristol side.

Makes no sense that the club would piss away 40m on Dembele, its madness.

Fully agree regarding Abraham. He is banging in goals in a very poor championship side. I am more impressed by the season he is having than Dembele.

Players like Batman and Abraham must be thinking what's the point.

when we have abraham it doesn't really make sense, especially considering the championship is on par with the scottish league give or take. might be being harsh there, but really don't think the scottish league is that great and the top two would probably be mid table in premier league at best. only way i could see this working out is if conte plans to play dembele in a different forward position. i don't know much about the lad though, so he could end up quality.

It's worse than that. Scottish football is absolutely brutal...trust me

So is it common for Glasgow based athaletes to come to London for a scan? No MRI machines north of the wall ?

He's going to a specialist, most players from Celtic and Rangers head down south due to the best ones being here.
