I get what you are saying and like the optimism - but the loss to Tottenham is the clearest indicator to me that we dont have the mettle to finish in the top 4.  Right now i am more in the opinion of playing Odoi, palmieri and other players who need more experience that trying for the top 4.

I am sure a lot of people will not agree with me, but i hope we dont qualify for the Europa league and that next year we just concentrate on the league and win it.

We probably dont deserve top 4 but in my opinion - we should never stop trying. And its not just about top4, its about playing your best 11. Morata simply has not done anything to warrant a starting spot.

I think europa will be a blessing in disguise - only if we use it well. If we want to play the kids in the first team, I dont see a better oppurtunity. RLC, CHO, Sterling (and barkley) can all get their chances. This is if we get europa and do actually play the youth instead of getting a string of second string players.

What is "basically" unbeaten? Is he or isn't he :Connie_threaten: ?

BTW Have you seen Griezman's shampoo advert? He's very pensive in the shower :laugh2:

nope & I not so sure Giroud is a Head & Shoulder's model. I only heard this on Arsenal Fan TV

Another good performance from Giroud last night.

Holds the ball up really well and brings others into the game, got an eye for a decent pass too... The through ball for the chance for Morata in the first half in particular stands out.

I'm hopefully he starts against Southampton.

Our Head & Shoulders model suffered a serious head injury in the France vs USA yesterday - Giroud clashed heads w/ Matt Miazga & suffered a deep cut - Giroud need 6 stitches & the last I read was that Giroud suffered a concussion - here is a video of the incident

Atletico hoping to rekindle the Griezmann-Giroud partnership and win the big ears in their own stadium this season.

Costa-Griezmann-Giroud is some striking combination.

He's actually the striker I'd be least likely to sell of our current 3.

Athletico won't be playing all 3 at once. They want him as a plan b.

Oh of course he'd be back up but with Costa's injury and suspension troubles it would be a smart move.

Atletico really throwing the cash around to try and win the CL in the Wanda Metropolitano.

Giroud might be attracted to a team who can genuinely win the CL this season, particularly if we sign Higuain. For me though I think his interplay could work superbly in a Sarri team.
