God I hope not. You'd only win the World Cup and you'd be unbearable then.
Come over here instead Jose - you'll get the chance to work with Stephen Ireland (for ?500,000 per year).

{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif Exactly. They're unbearable now and they can't even take on a bunch of divers and cheaters.

There was me thinking it's a Chelsea forum! Chelsea in London, England, therefore the people that follow Chelsea would naturally follow England and so would love this rumour.
But, the English press had a big hand in hounding JM out of Chelsea/England so why he would want to manage the national team is beyond me.

Would you rather I left Barn? I seem to be getting up your nose a lot recently.

Don't take it personally mate, most people attached to Chelsea are getting up my nose at the moment.
If I upset people - well no point in apologising you either understand me or you don't but if you're blue then I'll love you forever, despite what I sometimes say.

Cheers Barn. Sorry for being a tit. I've just had a big row in work and I'm feeling a bit sh*tty.

Well the press wasn't so kind to Eriksson and he came back to Man City.
And let's not forget that when Jos? left Chelsea the media wasn't so unkind towards him. They miss him and would love to have him back.

Far from it, the media were devastated that Jose left, he was box office big time and with him gone half their fun and then some disappeared when their prime time headline maker went awol.
They would have him back in this country like a shot. For all their digs at him and Chelsea one thing even his critics recognised is that he knew his stuff and was a damn fine coach.
He has far more friends in the media for the headlines he generates than enemies.
Still the job is madness, and he would be mad to take it.
He's too young and he wants a big European club to manage not sitting around twiddling his thumbs in between meaningless friendlies until the world cup comes around.
I'm presuming here we don't make it to the European Champs. {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif

If it happened we would at least find out
1. How Gerrard and Lampard can play together
2. If JT and Jose do think of ech other as fit for head lice
3. If Micah Richards can be trained not to cross the half way line

Can't he do both? Manage a regular team and a national team? If anyone can it's him.
Imagine 1 year:
World cup
Champions League
La Liga
Copa Del Rey
etc.

I sincerely hope he does go into International management of some form because that stops him taking over another English club for the time being.

Would be nice, as an English(wo)man AND a Chelsea fan. If players were going to leave to follow Mourinho, they can't. They can go to a different team with a different manager, but not all will want to do that.

Sorry, Holland have dibs on Mourinho when Van Basten f**ks up our qualification {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif
But seriously, I'm with Geezer: I couldn't stand the thought of JM managing one or our opponents, not for a loooooong time. I would love to see him manage England though {SMILIES_PATH}/128.gif
Never gonna happen...

I'd give my blessing (something I know Mourinho always looks for) for him to manage Scotland if it meant never managing again in England. It is a loss for the English game, but I'd rather be selfish at this moment in time.

I would be prepared to offer Jose sexual favours to be England boss...he also have my sister and anyone else I know that he likes the look of.
Imagine if England could actually WIN something. Why does it sound so odd?
