For people who think that Ballack appears lazy on the pitch

"Mind you, on the issue of stamina, his statistics didn't suffer. According those statistics, no one on Chelsea's books habitually covers more ground during the course of 90 minutes. Not even the tireless Lampard clocks up so many miles."

Ballack is looking VERY good at the moment. He also gives much more vfm at freekicks and pens than Frank.
I am impressed at his skippering. He consoled Kalou after one mis-hit against Fulham. Not a big point but a nice touch I think.
Ballack does cover a lot of ground, this has been stated before...it is just a shame that he is not the quickest.
However. he looks good at the mo, as did Sheva before his latest injuries.
If we can keep them fit, we may get the return that was expected when they first arrived.

Ballack's a natural at captaining a team, did it for both munich and for Germany.
I'm enjoying our free kicks actually going into the net insted of the wall

Yeah, it really looks like Ballack is settled to the game and in England generally. Maybe we will get more out of Lampard with Ballack on the pitch during the ACN if Lamps is back from his injury.. Wouldn't hurt Lamps to face some competition on the midfield.

I have to say, Ballack certainly seem's more interested this time around. His return at this tricky time is very welcome!

I feel confident that Ballack and Lamps could play together when Lamps is back. There has to be enough space on the pitch for both.... {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif

Yeah, all one of them!
I wasn't one of those who felt he was poor last season. OK he didn't stand out, but he contributed a lot and we missed him badly at the end of the season.
It's good to have him back. It will be interesting to see how Grant pairs him with Lampard.

I hope so but as we know they didnt work well together last year so who knows.
I think Ballack craves authority in mf so having them both at once doesnt sound good but we probably wont have no choice.

a certain Juliano Beletti seems to be pretty decent at the corners these days

Credit where credit is due, Ballack is starting to perform to the standard expected of him.
Excellent form from the big man, and surely a contender to continue taking free kicks even when Frank returns?

i honestly believe that if ballack hadnt returned to fitness these last couple of weeks to cover lamsp we wouldnt have won the games we did. hes been a very commanding pressence in our mid since his return. and his free kicks are much better.

I'm not Ballack's biggest fan, but even I can admit when he's done good and I do believe he's been good for us recently.
BTW...just read this from Beeb's 606:
