Big game just an hour away now- i am preparing some snacks and praying to jesus allah and buddah that ambrosini doesn't start. Our likely lineup is:
The question marks over Oddo and Zambrotta have been lifted but I'd still prefer to see Panucci tucking inside and making a back 3 at times- we don't need to go crazy away with two attacking full backs. Zambrotta can pressure to the opposition byline but panucci does offer some good crosses going forward too.
..........................Buffon..............................
Panucci.....Barzagli......Cannavaro......Zambrotta
..................................................................
..............Gattuso....Pirlo....De Rossi.............
..................................................................
...........Camoranesi.............Di Natale...........
.............................Toni...............................
Inzaghi and Del Piero have been left out, Iaquinta and Perrotta are the most likely to come in if we have a problem even with the recent improvement (and from how bad he has been recently it's a BIG improvement) of Gilardino.
Gattuso has a cold, Camoranesi is a genius but hasn't played 100% of the time for Juve this season so Quagliarella and Ambrosini will probably have a part to play.
Iaquinta
Perrotta
Ambrosini/De Rossi
Quagliarella
Grosso Oddo etc.
Let it be known now that I do not like Luca Toni and i think it madness not to take Inzaghi. I'd love to see an Italy with De Rossi or Perrotta in the midfield that tries to keep the ball, but i think it's likely that we'll see an unintentional counter attacking team hoping to score goals rather than dominate the game...

Sopcast - Channel - 26262 (German TV)
Not a bad stream, but I'm listening to the game on 5Live - we should have had a penalty just now!
Can't believe they're not showing this game on terrestrial TV in Scotland!

Scotland doing well here - Italy appeared to have taken over from Portugal in the 'ability to fall over easily' league table - you can stand down Sofa Manager.

Got to smile at BBC commentator - "the weather conditions will be alien to the Italians" - what a prick, does he really think that they don't have rain in Italy???
And Pat Nevin's voice has got even more nasal - sounds like he's got a badger stuck up his nose.
Oh, and the ref's a cheat!!!
