I do hope England gets a new manager that is perfect for the team. If not we might not get to see England in the world cup {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif
You should have no problems beating Belarus, Kazakhstan and Andorra. Ukraine is a bit tougher but I would be surprised if England doesn't beat them too.
Croatia...
Well with a new manager you might actually get a point from them.
Personaly I'm quite pleased with Swedens group. Portugal are good but I think Sweden might actually have a chance at finising top of the group.

dodged a bullet there- instead of a big national side like italy, we get croatia- with a good manager that group should be easy.

Yet again England get an easy group! Still, didn't help much just recently, did it? {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif
Makes a nice change to see Scotland get a reasonably easy group - stand a good chance of winning that one!

Must say, I don't like the seeding system at all. Pretty obvious who's gonna qualify from each group without a game having been played. Makes a mockery of it all in my opinion, we get virtually the same European qualifiers every time.
(The nine group winners will automatically qualify with the best eight runners up playing off for the last four tickets to South Africa)
Group 1 Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Hungary, Albania, Malta
Group 2 Greece, Israel, Switzerland, Moldova, Latvia, Luxembourg
Group 3 Czech Republic, Poland, NORTHERN IRELAND, Slovakia, Slovenia, San Marino

Group 7 France, Romania, Serbia, Lithuania, Austria, Faroe Islands
Group 8 Italy, Bulgaria, Republic of Ireland, Cyprus, Georgia, Montenegro
Group 9 Holland, SCOTLAND, Norway, FYR Macedonia, Iceland
8 best runners-up?
Sweden, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine/England*, France, Bulgaria, Holland
4 qualifiers from runners-up?
Sweden, Turkey, Bulgaria, Holland
* dependant on who the next England manager is, and whether the FA decide to do their job properly. There won't be many out there holding their breath on that one! {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif

I actually don't share your optimism for Scotland Bluebard - Scotland are notorious for raising their game against the big boys and slumping in the 'easier' fixtures - the very thing that actually blew their qualification for next summer. I think Scotland always stand a better chance when they in a tougher group.
England with a decent manager should win that group. As well as Croatia did in the recent group in terms of winning it I don't actually think they are that great a side and doubt they will be much better by the time these games are played.

Meh, Ireland gets stuck with another improbable group, I'm still hoping though.

One could argue that the same could be said about England as well. {SMILIES_PATH}/247.gif

I think you made a mistake there. Sweden has no intentions to play extra games to reach the world cup. We will of course beat Portugal at home and get a nice little draw away (not point in ridiculing them too much) and we will naturally have no problems with the other teams. Denmark might try and spoil the fun but a nice little hattrick from Ibra should quiten them.
Sweden top of the group {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif

Glad to see Scotland in with a decent chance of qualifying, but as loz said we do have a real penchant for messing things up against the "lesser" sides. I bet the Faroe Isels are getting sick of the sight of France. Anyway, I think Holland should go through top of our group, with Scotland in 2nd, but we will have to wait and see. The tartan Army in Holland is usually a good night out, and there are some other decent matches in there
For england, I expect them to go through top, or very close behind the Croatians. I suppose it all depends on who is in charge of the team at the time. It will also be interesting to see who will be in the england squad ina few years time. If Agbonlahor keeps playing the way he is, I think he could develop into a good player

Almost chocked with laughter when i heard Croatia , i mean , was that a wind up or what ? What were the odds on that happening ?
As for Rep of Ireland , cant complain , depends on who's in charge and with a bit of luck John O Shea's carreer will be over before the first game. Oh, we dont have a manager yet either , i reakon the FAI will be on top of their game and appoint somebody just before kick off .

Just when I thought something good might come form this qualifying group, we lose our manager!!! I think it will now be very close between us and Norway
