The wisdom of this decision will be put to the test over the next month. We've had a decent run of results over the last 2 months and kudos to Grant for that. However most of those games have been against teams struggling in the bottom 1/3 of the division and we now have to face some tougher opposition. After Arsenal we have Liverpool in the cup, Blackburn, and Villla. All teams in the top 10. Newcastle and Spurs may have improved by the time we play them too. If our record looks as impressive after that run of games then the decision to offer the Grant an extended deal will look far better.

I said Capello from the off, with Zola his assistant. The man has won the league with every club he's been at in both Italy and Spain. Might not sound like great achievements when talking about Real Madrid and AC Milan but doing it with Roma, their 1st title in years shows his quality.

I see it as a sign of genorosity from Roman, a big pay off when He decide to get rid of Grant in near future. It doesn't offer him any job security, just a way of Roman says - well done so far, if you f** it up, you will still get the bonus I promised.. {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif
