as for drogba, it still annoys me how much people go on about his first 18 months as if he was some big liability...yes he rolled around a bit too much and he wasn't as good as he is now, but that's because he is the best in the world right now...back then he was just very good...he scored 32 goals in his first two seasons and had countless assists...this despite injuries and African nations....he played a major part in our titles and people too easily forget that and fall for the media cr*p
We may not agree on everything Brit, (JFH and Robben), but you are spot on here mate.

I'm actually surpised that so people are including Essien in the list. Don't get me wrong, he has huge potential to be a truly great player for us, and deserves praise for helping out and playing out of position so many times, but I still question how many games he has actually dominated in his midfield position.

[color=#0000BF][/why has no1 said robben his 1st season (when fit) he was as good not better than cristiano ronaldo, when we signed him he was young and had potential to become one of the best players in the world. Even tho he was out a lot with his injuries we still made a profit, I think that we made a huge mistake by buy malouda and selling robben malouda is an overated wog. I still hold on to the believe that ten cate will beable to pursuade robbin to come bakc with his dutch connections.http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Vb5pSr8i1ww color]

Mutu,Veron, and Sheva - sounds extremely strange, but I can defend myself. Actually they did not make a difference at Chelsea, but they could. Mutu is naturally talented, quick, and brave. I guess once he just entered the wrong night club. {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_twisted.gif Veron got lost because of the good midfielders at the time. Sheva is awesome, but under too much pressure and not made for Premier League, unfortunately. In Europe, if playing without Drogba, which never passes, he is able to smoke anybody.

Cech & Drogba are uncontestable choices {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif
The third place is tougher but I went for Carvalho.
Essien and Maka deserve an honourable mention too.

I didn't express myself quite right. I wanted to say that those were the three players with the biggest potential at the time. Onviously, they dissapointed everybody. If seriously, I choose Cech, Drogba, and Essien.
