Sam Allerbyce. Been in charge since May, plagued with injuries. I feel sorry for him, that club are never going to move forward if they don't give managers time.

Just after he was given backing by the chairman.
Newcastle have had 4 managers in 4 years now - what a bucket shop!

Not so sure about that - I think he is a little too proud for that. He may ened up back there later in his career but I don't think he will go straight back just now. Prepared to be proved wrong!

Yeah maybe your right Loz, the fans may call for his return, and he may deny the fact that he wants to go back and manage Bolton. Bit like scabby Shearer has done to Sam at the toon.
I hope they do give it to Shearer, with that team he wont last as long as Sam did.

The Shearer rumour mill has cost their past few manager their jobs. I don't know what the Geordies expect from someone with no management experience to do?
Hope they give it to Shearer, becasue he will probably cost himself the job given time.

No surprise, maybe players will leave? Sign their blonde left winger!

i personally hope shearer gets the job, and newcastle continue to be as sh*t as ever and thusly shearers golden f**king reputation will be as tarnished as the undeservedly sacked big sam.
i hate the f**k. he was the dirtiest player around but NEVER got a decision against him because he was englands precious striker.
then the sh*t broke waynes ankle and cemented my hatred. i look forward to the fans' chanting "you dont know what youre doing" and seeing his grinning macdonalds endorsing mug feel the hurt.
also, im glad that equal sh*t roy keane is experiencing plentiful losing. i bet he thought he was gonna tear it up.

What a stupid stupid stupid move on Newcastle's part. He will go on and build another club into a top side meanwhile Newcastle will remain crap for some years to come.

A very foolish decision. He should have been given more time.

Right as the January transfer window opens too. What do they expect the new manager to accomplish now? A bad situation for any manager to come in to, and I too hope Shearer gets it. I would be amazed if he did anything, a la Roy Kean. I said Kean would do nothing, and have yet to be proven wrong. I will say the same about Shearer

i feel bad for the guy...cant deny he wernt doin a good job at newcastle but after the incredible work he had done at bolton i feel bad that he had a failure at newcastle...dnt think he should have left wanderers in the first place anyway

To be fair, when he took over at Sunderland they were bottom of the league and he got them promoted the same season. That ain't bad.
The Geordies should just get it over with and appoint Shearer. And if/when he fails they can finally move forward without him looming over everything at the club.
