This is the Sun, but whether that Rumour is true or not, he is a great player and I am glad to have him here at Chelsea. I think that he has been hit pretty hard by the departure of Jose too, and I think we would be fuc*ed if he were to leave in the summer too

I thought it was common knowledge he visited SAF's greenhouse as a youngster, strange why the choose to print that now

Same here, it was widely reported when he signed for us that he had a trial at United and it the move fell through.
United's loss was our gain {SMILIES_PATH}/541.gif

Great player and I agree that he was one of the players initally more affected by Jose's departure than most.
That said, I doubt he will be doing a summer escape act, unlike Drogba.
He's happy here I feel.

I think the title should say " I could have been a Man U player, and not, I should have been a Man U player". Those are two very different statements. Anyway glad to hear essien is happy here, one of our most valuable assets at Chelsea. He dosen't complain, dosen't talk sh*t in the media, just get's on with it and does his job.

Just can't imagine the term 'Chelsea through and through' coming from his mouth. Not saying he would not mean it but...y'know... {SMILIES_PATH}/300.gif

You wouldn't be able to play for Man Untd! Not because you're not a good player, but because their style would never fit you and you would warm those red seats your whole time there.

It would seem that only a few people have read the article until the end. I know it's the Sun and all that, but.
He doesn't want to play for Man Utd, he's happy at Chelsea and wants to stay - good enough for me.
