With Woodgate gone from Boro, Huth is pretty much a cert to be selected in the Boro side. So far, he has been good. Always liked the lad and glad he's got a chance to play 1st team now

I actually miss him. He might not have been a great defender, but I still liked him. And hearing 35-40k people yell "HUTH!" was pretty darn cool. {SMILIES_PATH}/happy0034.gif

i liked him because in a pre-season tournament (singapoer i think) v newcastle he almost destroyed shearer with one of the most vicious tackles ive ever seen. was hilarious to see shearers face. he didnt have clue who huth was.

yeah, i think he did. instantly became my hero. i think we should have kept him as our hitman. use him in every game to boot the player the fans voted for. gerrard, barton etc.

I'd say his got one of the most thumping shots in football, certainly wouldn't call it the best though.

Alex has a pretty wicked, and more accurate shot on him by the looks of things.

I'm not sure if they ever measured the speed of Huth's kicks, but I think they once measured an Alex freekick flying into the goal at about 70 mph. {SMILIES_PATH}/317.gif

I remember the goal he scored (Huth) in Europe where it hit the bar went over the line and bounced out and the ref never gave it.

Huth can hit a ball, no doubting that, it's the placement that is a concern.

after two footing him around the waist. ive tried to find it on youtube or anywhere else, but no luck. what made it funnier is that there was noreason for it. the game was a nice, calm friendly. till then...

No reason? Isn't being Shearer reason enough?

yeah, your right. i think huth was getting his retaliation in early.

Pre-emptive retaliation, an anachronism, but the only sensible action to take.
