It makes sense though. Only a few of them are good enough to be playing at the very top level (palmer, Nkunku). Those players will leave but those who know they are not making it to that level are on good, long contracts and have a manager that protects them, gives them time off even after a 5 null drubbing, throws BBQs for them etc. Why would those players want their comfortable situation to change

But some good memories on the benches and in the section nearest the North terrace. For some reason I think it was section "Z" but can't see how alphabetically it could have been ?
