  2. Been a great week of football. Liverpool and Arsenal bottling it in the league. Chelsea 6-0 Everton Man City and Arsenal bottling it in Europe.

  3. Think this is a poor comment considering I like your perspective on a lot that you post. There is a massive leap from a group of committed and often frustrated fans that have signed up to a members forum, expressing opinions and often illustrating their frustrations amongst each other, and the filth and bile that cowards, often hiding behind anonymity, post directly at, and often to the personal accounts of, players and celebrities that they are apparently fans of. Racism, homophobia, sexism, extremism of any kind will never be eradicated from the minds if some people. Social media platforms should have the wherewithal to recognise this and, if these pointless, self serving outlets of drivel are to perpetuate there should be safeguards in place to prevent abuse such as this and to make the perpetrators clearly identifiable.

  4. Actually you can, it's something I saw the very best Chelsea sides do all of the time.

  5. It’s a huge loss. I just feel annoyed and angry with the squad and management more than anything. Thiago Silva represents everything we want in a footballer. The ultimate professional, gives 100% every game. He deserved much better than the sh*tshow past couple of seasons. It’s sad to see his career at top level end like this. I still consider him as our best defender, the rest are bums.

  7. Pochettino has failed to advance the project in any way. It's not if but when he leaves.

  8. We're World Champions, Tommy Tuchel has guided us through a tough period off the field and we've been taken over by wealthy Americans who plan to spend £1 billion on players. Exciting times - the future looks very bright!

  11. Couldn't be bothered to check the whole thread but as far as a penalty incident, the real shocker was that they missed it altogether. People arguing whether it was a pen or not are missing the most important detail. Oliver gave it a GOAL KICK TO CITY, which means he didn't see the actual handball, and neither did the assistant referee, otherwise they would have to give it to us for the CORNER KICK or pointed to the spot for a pen. At least the ref on the pitch and the assistant ref can be forgiven for missing it in real time without the advantage of replay, but what were they smoking in the VAR room that they failed to see the ball hitting Grealish's arm, I'd never know. I'd demand an explanation from Oliver and especially from the clowns in charge of the VAR on that occasion. People should be demoted for this type of f**kups.

  12. I don't think you can or should punish somebody financially for something like this, it's a bit too far. But it's annoying to see and like Sconnie says, it reflects the current state of the club. There are too many players that aren't taking it seriously enough. This is an opportunity in your career to win silverware, and you're laughing with the opposition immediately at the final whistle after being knocked out in the semi final? How am I supposed to think you even care? And you look even worse when you're doing it behind your teammate who clearly does care and is crushed by a dream ending being ruined. I get modern day Manchester United vibes from this group. It's like the Pogba and Lingard era with all of the cringe haircuts and gang signs. Hate it. I've criticised Gallagher a lot this season, but at least the guy is serious and cares. We need more character like that.

  13. Nothing more Poch could do. Better striker who can take chances and we would have won the League Cup and be in the FA Cup final…..

  14. If we had a competent centre forward we win today. Jackson is not that player.

  15. Where is this sh*t that we didn't have to win/compete at Arsenal coming from? Has anyone saying that ever heard of derby rivalries? Have they heard of trying to compete in every single game? Have they ever gone to a high rivalry football match? Do they care about how embarrassing is for the supporters after being battered by a bitter rival? I think not. Next Friday it will be that we did not need to win against Spurs... FFS!

    Cole Palmer signs for Chelsea!

Did they mention that without Badiashile, Cucurella, Mudryk and Caciedo we would be 4th?

  17. I don't think a quality manager would take them to that level, but a quality manager would make them into a team, that's for sure. We'll never have any real success with these players, but we can avoid these constant embarrassing moments if we actually had a good coach.

  18. Look Cucurella running round like a blind dog. What a clown of a player. Won't even call him a defender.

  19. Don't confuse hate with people just not rating him much as a footballer. No true Chelsea supporter hates Jackson. We just don't really want to see him in the starting 11, even less so after Saturday.

  20. Well deserved, though I think this Hall of fame stuff is all American style popularity contests. John's real honours is the place he holds in our hearts, Chelsea history, winners medals, the memories, being our greatest ever captain during our greatest ever period. Captain. Leader. Legend. Says it all.

  22. Reflects the current state of the club. Not serious.

  23. Not one to take that kind of stuff too seriously but it really is difficult to not be angry. Bloke showed more emotion not taking a penalty than losing a cup semi final that ended our season.

  24. And in an attempt to defend Jackson a bit it's not his fault he is being asked to job he can't do. He isn't a centre forward. He isn't a top quality footballer. He has a semi decent career ahead of him playing for Tranmere or Dundee, probably as a winger. But playing at centre forward in the Premier League (or in the highest rank of any of the top flight leagues) is beyond him. But its not his fault we were duped into signing him. Whose decision it was is probably debatable but the whole approach to our squad building has been piss poor for many seasons.

  25. As much as I don't think he should be our manager next season I feel harsh criticising him. If we had a striker that could finish and officials that weren't blind then we'd have won the game.

  26. I’m not sure Poch could have done much more today. We should have scored through Jackson, we should have had a penalty and we didn’t REALLY concede that many chances. I will question why we always look less fit than our opponents, even when we should be way more rested than them - but overall I thought his gameplan worked today
    6 points
  27. Forget Harry Kane, if we had Paul Mullins out there instead of the hopeless Jackson we win this game.
    6 points
  28. Certainly several games this season I have questioned Poch. But in my opinion today was not one of them. We were let down by poor finishing, lack of cover in key positions through injuries, and some players in the squad who clearly aren't good enough.
    6 points
  29. Poch set the team up well and the team carved up a lot of chances which we didn't take. How's he at fault for losing a game that we could have killed before half time?
    6 points
  30. I don't think he can be blamed for anything up until Doku came on. Since then, City wrestled control away and Pochettino hasn't made a single tactical change to take the pressure off.

  31. Agreed, loser mentality. Proper footballers always want to be on the pitch:

  32. Everyone is getting far too ahead of themselves again. We played a good game against Everton, and the Caicedo and Gallagher partnership worked, but there are also times where it has looked completely sh*te. It was one game, and if we are going to focus on 1 game, then anybody could point at the Villa game that Enzo dominated as a reason to stick with him.

    Conor Gallagher

Conor at number 10 doesn't work. He's not creative enough, technical enough or score anywhere near enough goals. He's far far better playing deeper.

  38. I don't know what it is, it's just the way some footballers are. Very few with this kind of personality make it all of the way to the top and stay there though. You need to be one of the most gifted players in the world to pull it off, like a Neymar, but even he won't be remembered as a great of the game. The likes of Terry, Lampard, Cech, Scholes, Xavi, Iniesta, Modric, Messi, Ronaldo, Salah, De Bruyne, Fabregas, Silva, all of them, elite personalities on a football pitch to match their skill. It's why they are some of the best players of the modern era. They aren't the type to laugh and joke after losing a semi final.

  39. Back from the game. I feel flat and frustrated. No answers really. We were the better side. City didn't worry me once. I was expecting us to score. Jackson was good but his finishing was criminal. Enzo and Caicedo were utter trash for 100m players. Gallagher limited on the wing. Sell Chilwell, he can't see a pass in time. Sell Mudryk. He's an Olympic sprinter, not a footballer. That is all.

  40. Back from the game. Good atmosphere and City support is really sh*t. We got them on a bad day and couldn’t finish them off to save our lives. First half was very tactical from both sides. Surprisingly, we came on quite tuned in on the second half and should have beaten them. We can say that the best team lost today. Still, I’m not sure what Pochettino does changing the line up. Palmer was quite ineffective and Gallagher nowhere to be seen because of the tinkering. But, if it wasn’t for Jackson shocking finishing, we’d easily have won it. That was the difference between them and us today.

  41. A great cup run comes to an end ... well done Chels. Gave the best team in the country a lot to think about today, and in the end it was that extra little bit of quality and experience that made the difference. Win or lose, up the Blues :-)

  42. We didn't deserve to lose today, Poch coached a win and was let down by Jackson basically.

    Reece James

No idea when his expected return is but I just pray he doesn't come back this year. He's got no chance of the Euros and we're mid table, just take the extra few months and get ready for pre season. Poor lad is one more season of injuries away from getting totally written off, something a few are already starting to do. Hopefully taking the surgery this time will crack the issue, I just can't believe the club didn't make him this time last year when he was in a similar siutation.
