Is to me. People give Drogba credit for the CL final but Petr dragged us through just as much

Wait are people really saying that Cech isn't in their tier 1? He's our greatest ever goalkeeper IMO Ashley Cole is also on that status to I think he proved himself as Chelsea through and through in his time here.

Comfortably top tier. Christ if Lamps, JT and Drogba are in tier one then surely the bloke more responsible than any for them being there also needs to be there. Not one of those three players would be as good as they were for us without the a Jose influence.

    Willian

I don't think it does any more. big teenage prospects in europe seemed to be valued at £30m or even more. when you look at fees for di maria, sterling, de bruyne, rodriguez etc I suspect that £60m is the new £30m. factor in the gigantic tv deal coming into effect and I don't think £60m could easily buy a better player than willian. but then I accept he's as divisive a player as we have in the squad. some people here would describe him as merely a runner, I'm definitely at the other end of that scale. I would be surprised if conte would want rid too. I think he ticks a lot of the boxes he looks for.

Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager

Can't say that bothers me in the slightest. We've had too many players strolling through matches in the past season. A kick in the arse will not be a bad thing.

I think there is a certain sect of fans, on here at least, who take great pleasure in second guessing and being critical of the club. So when something goes wrong they're more than happy to pounce. If everything is going right they have nothing to say.

Not to mention the season before last, when we won the league after topping the table from start to finish, losing 4 games out of 54, and one of those was after we'd already secured the title. It's amazing how spoiled by success we've become when I'm now seeing that season being virtually dismissed: "yeah, we won the league but..." Definitely Tier 1.

    What are you listening to?

Nice. I love some of these old school mixes on YouTube. I went off on a "Deep House" then "Chicago House" and "Detroit House" search one night after listening to this classic:

Most successful manager of ours of all time. I think too many people are thinking of him in the poor light that was last season, and are forgetting about him with us the first time. He is up there in tier 1 for me. And until another manager comes in and produces more, he'll remain there.

I'm hoping that when a reporter is doing Blues News from Cobham for Chelsea TV, Conte will appear in the background chasing Hazard around with a pitchfork and then a few minutes later it will pan to him with Oscar in a headlock.

    Willian

First off nobody is offering £60m for Willian. It's a nonsense rumour with bugger all foundation. So to the question of whether we should contemplate selling Willian? Abd9kiteky not unless it is a stupid bid. Yes he dipped in form in final third of season but it's hardly a surprise given that he carried the team for two thirds of it. Carried them to the extent that I'm sure I saw a taxi meter attached to his shoulders. He is an excellent professional, p laying better now than he ever has, has a turn of pace that defenders hate, excellent work rate and his ability to protect full backs has improved (used to be a real weakness). On form Hazard clearky a better player on the flank as was Robben and Duff however there are many playe5s at Chelsea I'd look to offload before Willian.

But football is about winning trophies the record books aren't gonna say Wenger won jack all from 2005-2014 but brought through youth and attractive football.

No doubt about it being a great "6 months". But I have to say, it was more the player's character/guts/balls and a LOT of footballing luck which saw us winning the CL. Jose has led us to 3 out of our 5 PL. He was the manager who built the spine of the team which won us so many things (DD, JT, Lamps, Cole, Cech, Essien etc). I don't know how unpopular this opinion will be but I will say it nonetheless. I want Jose here for a 3rd term. His legacy can not be a season where we finished 10th and the fact that we were 17th when he left. Yes, mistakes were made by all, Manager, board, Players, but I just hope that 4 months does not tarnish what has been a great journey.

Amazing how some people view him as a prized asset, he's so average. Should be biting their hand off for £60m.
