  13. Conte sees Michy, most days double sessions. He knows the player, the person and must have his reasons for not starting him. Maybe it's a confidence thing but we don't know, but I'm not going to judge Antonio on his management style when we're top of the league. People don't judge when it's a player they don't particularly like e.g. Branna, Mikel, Oscar

  15. What I remember against City was his MOTM performance, when we were under the cosh for large spells. If you remember, Dave (first half) and Cahill (second half) made horrendous individual errors which could have led to goals, Dave when he underhit a back pass and Cahill when he tried to shepherd the ball back to Courtois, unaware that Aguero was lurking behind him. Here's a few of his highlights from that day ..

  16. Apologies for bringing this from the grave, but this is such a poorly contrived article. The author invents a conspiracy ("the media hates him" - even though most media have been gushing with praise over Luiz's reform) and then hedges his bets by patronising the audience by saying we can't possibly begin to understand him because of nebulous "passion". Most hilariously, of course, rather than provide some argument of substance the author elects to appeal to tub-thumping populism - "Everyone knows all stats are completely useless". In my posts earlier in this thread, it was evident that statist

    Welcome N’Golo Kante

Kante made Morgan/Huth combo look like JT/Carvalho at their prime, no owner they are back to their usual standard this season this season. The Kante deal is just pure gold.

  18. Has any foreign signing ever had this much of an instant impact on the English league? Ordinarily it takes me a few games before I can properly assess a player, but after seeing Kanté's first Leicester game (playing out of position as well) I instantly knew he was something special. If we do go on to win the Premier League, he will be the first player (since 1992 at least) to win the title with different teams in consecutive seasons. In his first two seasons. With two sides who finished 14th and 10th respectively in the seasons before he joined. What a magnificent player, a genuine marvel

    Our New Stadium

I saw that opinions are divided about the stadium. I personally am not 100% behind the design. For example, I think it's the most beautiful stadium in the world from a pedestrians view but some aerials look odd. But it's not that important in the long term. People get used to visuals. What's important is how this stadium will help us to grow as a club. With the increased capacity, the atmosphere should become better and more intimidating. Add to this the unique look, the divine feel, and the fact that this stadium is a reminder of traditional London architecture, and I could see this

    Michy Batshuayi to Chelsea

You call being 3 goals up at home against bottomhalf table team with just SECONDS left to play for is necessary to 'run the clock down'? How low have we fallen? Do you have any pride of being a big club? do you know how to be one? So you actually think bournemouth can score more than 2 goals within SECONDS against a team who had only conceded 2 goals in the last 11 games? so much that we need that sub under that situation to 'Ensure' the 3 points? are you taking pot shot at the club? You're desperate, so desperate that you even somehow come up with a logic where you think a striker

    Michy Batshuayi to Chelsea

Batshuayi has come in two important games for us where we needed to win in the first 2 game of the season. 1 he provided the winning assist and the other he scored the equalizer and went on to win the game. Mkhitarayan was kept out the frame for long period but he was not in the squad at all for certain periods. Batshuayi has been and the best way to get someone to adjust to the league is by giving them minutes. The game was wrapped up and it would of been good for his confidence and even for us to get another goal with his fresh legs if he came on. It was not like it was a risk bringing

  25. Second time around he wasn't half the manager he was first time around, even though we won the title and the LC, and we won it playing good football for the first half of the season until he reverted to type and we basically parked the bus for the remainder. His judgement was all askew, letting De Bruyne go, Mata, Luiz etc, preferring Torres to a raw Lukaku etc etc. He was allowed to do things his way. Maybe he didn't get Pogba and Stones but we tried. Remember Conte didn't get Bonucci or Nainggolan. sh*t happens. Jose is a short-sharp-shock type of manager whose methods have a short shelf lif

  26. People that question treatment of Batshuayi aren't moaning for moanings sake though, well certainly not in my case...it's out of concern...Conte has obviously been brilliant and I like him as a bloke too...but barely giving Batshuayi any game time, even in games we have wrapped up, is clearly going to destroy a player's confidence and in turn, ensure he looks even less ready to play in the future...on top of that his value is being diminished significantly, so we have paid out £33.1m on a player who doesn't play and who won't get bought for what we paid...I just feel Batshuayi could have pla

  30. Playing Dave as a left wing back defeats the purpose of the formation. And apart from Ibra beating him in the air, which he's done to defenders far taller than Dave so it's no shame and not to mention Dave was still positioned correctly anyway in that he put himself in the best spot possible to make it very hard for Ibra, I don't recall him struggling at all or since playing centre back with aerial duels.
